Summary

This Nissan Rogue offers a modern, high-tech driving experience with the flagship Platinum trim, providing a more premium feel than typical compact crossovers. Its white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the GCC, and with 59,000 km, the mileage is well within the expected range for a 2023 model in the UAE. The standout 1.5L Variable Compression Turbo engine balances efficient commuting with enough power for confident highway overtaking between emirates. For a buyer looking for top-tier cabin features like quilted leather and digital displays without the high maintenance costs of a European brand, this is an excellent choice. It serves as a comfortable, tech-focused daily driver that handles both city traffic and long desert highway stretches with ease.

This Car vs Other 2023 Nissan Rogues

With 59,000 km on the odometer, this Rogue is slightly below the average annual mileage of 25,000 km typically seen in the GCC market, making it a mechanically sound long-term prospect. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE, as it helps reflect intense summer heat and consistently maintains the highest resale value in the local used market. While many 2023 Rogues found locally are lower trims, this Platinum edition offers the highest available equipment level, which is a major advantage for comfort-conscious buyers.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim transforms the Rogue into a luxury-adjacent SUV, adding exclusive quilted semi-aniline leather seats that are both heated and ventilated—a necessity for the Gulf climate. Unlike the SL or SV, the Platinum features a massive 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display, keeping your eyes on the road during high-speed highway travel. You also benefit from a premium 10-speaker Bose audio system and wireless smartphone charging, features that significantly improve the daily commute.

Nissan Rogue vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the Rogue Platinum leads in cabin technology, offering a more sophisticated digital dashboard and superior seat comfort via Nissan’s Zero Gravity design. Its All-Wheel Drive system provides better stability on gravel and wet roads than FWD-only rivals often found in the segment. The Rogue’s VC-Turbo engine provides higher torque than the naturally aspirated units in many competitors, making it feel more responsive in stop-start city traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L VC-Turbo engine is designed for efficiency, typically averaging around 7.5 to 8.5 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. As an American spec vehicle, buyers should note that while mechanical parts are widely available due to Nissan's massive GCC service network, some electronic and interior components may differ from regional versions. Japanese crossovers like the Rogue traditionally retain value well, typically seeing a depreciation of 8–12% annually, though American spec imports generally trade at a lower price point than official GCC units.

Performance & Capability

The innovative 3-cylinder engine produces a surprising 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque, providing plenty of punch for overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system automatically adjusts power to the wheels with the most grip, ensuring stability during sudden rain or on loose sand near suburban developments. With an 8.1-second 0–100 km/h time and selectable drive modes, it offers a versatile driving character that can be tuned for fuel-saving Eco mode or responsive Sport mode.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is the highlight of the Platinum trim, featuring a dual-panel panoramic moonroof that creates a bright, airy environment for all five passengers. For GCC summers, the powerful tri-zone climate control and ventilated front seats ensure the cabin stays cool even when parked in direct sunlight. Rear passengers enjoy dedicated air vents and sunshades, making this an ideal family vehicle for long road trips across the borders of the UAE, Oman, or Saudi Arabia.

Safety

Standard equipment on this trim includes the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, featuring Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for navigating busy multi-lane highways. The ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link helps reduce driver fatigue on long desert stretches by maintaining a set distance from traffic and keeping the car centered in its lane. Additionally, the 360° Intelligent Around View Monitor makes parking in tight urban spaces simple and stress-free.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants a fully-loaded, tech-heavy SUV with the efficiency of a smaller engine, this Rogue Platinum is a smart, high-value alternative to the standard market options.
