Summary

This 2024 Rogue Platinum represents the top-tier of Nissan’s modern crossover lineup, featuring a sophisticated variable-compression turbocharged engine that balances power with impressive efficiency. In the GCC market, the Grey exterior is a highly practical choice, offering strong resale demand and better heat management than darker tones. With its current mileage, this vehicle presents a significant saving over new showroom prices while remaining well within its primary mechanical lifespan. The Platinum trim distinguishes itself with high-end cabin materials and advanced driver assistance that makes long-distance highway travel between emirates effortless. For a buyer in the region, the combination of Nissan’s massive service network and the Rogue's car-like city manners makes it one of the most logical daily drivers available.

This Car vs Other 2024 Rogues

With 37,900 km, this Rogue’s usage sits slightly above the average for a single year in the GCC but is well-aligned with the typical 25,000–30,000 km annual cycles seen in commuting between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Grey finish is one of the region's most stable colors for value retention, ensuring it stays desirable for years to come. As a 2024 model, it benefits from the latest facelift and the first-ever integration of Google built-in software.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim is a significant jump from the SL, replacing standard leather with quilted semi-aniline leather and adding a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system. It also includes a digital dashboard, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a head-up display that are not standard on lower SV or S models. Features like the dual-panel panoramic moonroof and tri-zone climate control provide the cabin airiness and cooling power essential for the GCC climate.

Rogue vs Segment Rivals

The Rogue leads rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V in cabin technology, featuring a more intuitive 12.3-inch Google-based interface. Its Divide-N-Hide cargo system offers superior modular storage compared to the fixed floors of many competitors. Additionally, Nissan's VC-Turbo engine provides a punchier 225 lb-ft of torque, making it more responsive during high-speed highway overtaking than naturally aspirated alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this AWD turbocharged powertrain typically averages between 7.4L and 8.5L/100km, though stop-start traffic in cities like Riyadh may see this rise slightly. As a Canadian spec vehicle, buyers should verify service compatibility with local distributors, though Nissan’s extensive GCC authorized network ensures parts like filters and brake pads are readily available. The Rogue generally experiences an annual depreciation of 10-12% in the UAE, holding its value better than most American or European counterparts in this segment.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L VC-Turbo engine is a technical marvel, producing 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque to achieve 0-100 km/h in approximately 8.0 seconds. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system is optimized for road stability but includes a dedicated Snow/Sand mode that provides extra confidence for gravel tracks or weekend beach trips. With 208 mm of ground clearance, it handles speed bumps and uneven suburban roads with ease while maintaining a refined highway ride.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Platinum trim offers a luxury-tier experience with heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, designed to withstand the wear of high-temperature environments. The tri-zone automatic climate control is robust, featuring dedicated rear vents to ensure all five passengers remain cool during peak summer. Acoustic glass and improved insulation significantly reduce wind noise, making the cabin a quiet sanctuary for long cross-border drives.

Safety

The 2024 Rogue comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, a comprehensive suite including Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Blind Spot Warning. ProPILOT Assist with Navi-Link is standard on this trim, providing semi-autonomous steering and adaptive cruise control that is particularly helpful on the long, straight highways of the GCC. The inclusion of ten airbags and a 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor ensures maximum protection and parking ease in crowded urban centers.

The bottom line

This 2024 Rogue Platinum is the ideal choice for a tech-focused family seeking a high-spec, fuel-efficient SUV with the luxury of semi-aniline leather and a premium sound system at a used-market price point.
