Summary

This 2023 Nissan Sunny SV is an ideal daily driver for the GCC, offering a practical balance of modern tech and high-efficiency running costs. Finished in white—the region's most resilient color for heat and resale—it stands out as a reliable choice for long commutes between emirates. With its 1.5L engine and generous interior volume, it handles stop-start city traffic and highway cruising with equal ease. The SV trim provides essential upgrades that make the UAE summer more manageable, ensuring the cabin remains a comfortable space regardless of the temperature outside. For buyers seeking a dependable workhorse with proven longevity in local conditions, this listing represents a sensible, low-maintenance opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 Nissan Sunnys

With 88,254 km on the odometer, this Sunny sits within the expected usage range for a high-demand commuter vehicle in the GCC, where annual averages often exceed 25,000 km. The white exterior is the strongest resale color in the UAE market, reflecting sunlight efficiently and maintaining its value better than darker shades. Its GCC specification ensures the cooling system and engine are fully optimized for the extreme local climate.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim elevates the Sunny experience over the base S model by adding significant convenience and aesthetic features. Buyers benefit from a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a rearview camera for easier parking in tight urban spaces. It also includes steering wheel-mounted audio controls and premium fabric upholstery, offering a more refined cabin environment for daily driving.

Nissan Sunny vs Segment Rivals

The Sunny leads its segment, including rivals like the Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Accent, in terms of sheer cargo practicality with a 490-litre boot. While the Yaris focuses on a smaller footprint, the Sunny offers superior rear legroom, making it a more comfortable choice for small families. Its reputation for having a robust air conditioning system gives it a distinct advantage during the peak summer months in the Middle East.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the class, with real-world combined fuel consumption averaging approximately 6.3 L/100km. Nissan's extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures that parts are affordable and maintenance is straightforward. The Sunny traditionally retains about 60% of its value after three to four years, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the GCC used market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L four-cylinder engine is tuned for efficiency and smooth delivery, making it perfectly suited for the steady 100-120 km/h speeds typical of UAE highways. It delivers 108 hp, providing reliable power for overtaking while maintaining its primary focus on fuel conservation. The automatic transmission is calibrated for the stop-start nature of Dubai and Abu Dhabi traffic, ensuring a relaxed driving experience even during rush hour.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Sunny SV offers a surprisingly spacious cabin for a compact sedan, featuring dedicated air conditioning vents designed to cool the entire interior rapidly. The 5-seat layout provides ample headroom for all passengers, while the 490-litre boot easily accommodates large grocery runs or airport luggage. Quiet cabin insulation helps reduce road noise on long desert highway stretches, enhancing overall passenger comfort.

Safety

Standard safety features on the SV trim include dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist. It also features a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and rear parking sensors, which are vital for safety on high-speed motorways and busy parking lots. The vehicle's zone body construction with front and rear crumple zones provides an additional layer of protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

This Nissan Sunny SV is the perfect match for a value-conscious commuter who needs a reliable, GCC-ready sedan with modern connectivity and strong resale prospects.
