Summary

This 2023 Nissan X-Trail S represents the first year of the redesigned fourth-generation model, offering a significant step up in refinement and technology. Finished in Silver, it holds one of the strongest resale positions in the GCC market, especially given its balanced mileage of 58,000 km which is well within typical regional use for a modern SUV. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle extreme summer temperatures with an air conditioning system specifically optimized for the region. For buyers seeking a modern, fuel-efficient family crossover with a proven track record for durability and parts availability, this listing is a highly practical choice.

This Car vs Other 2023 X Trails

With 58,000 km on the odometer, this X-Trail has been driven roughly 29,000 km per year, which is slightly above the global average but very common for highway-reliant families in the GCC. The Silver exterior is one of the most practical choices for the region, as it effectively hides desert dust and maintains the highest resale liquidity in the local market. Compared to high-mileage fleet examples, this privately used 7-seater offers a cleaner interior and a more consistent maintenance history.

S vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim for the fourth generation, the S grade provides the essential Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system that is often absent in entry-level regional competitors. While it maintains hard-wearing fabric upholstery ideal for families, it still includes modern necessities like LED headlamps and the EZ Flex seating system. This specific S trim configuration includes the crucial 7-seat layout, a high-demand feature in the GCC that significantly increases its value over the standard 5-seat base models.

X Trail vs Segment Rivals

The X-Trail leads rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V by offering a genuine 7-seat configuration in a compact footprint, making it more versatile for school runs and large family outings. Its 2.5L engine is specifically tuned for the consistent highway speeds found in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering more composed overtaking power than the smaller turbocharged units found in some European competitors. Additionally, Nissan's larger fuel tank allows for longer stretches between fill-ups on cross-emirate trips.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for this 2.5L powertrain typically averages between 7.8 and 8.2 L/100km, performing efficiently during long-distance highway commutes between cities. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals, and Nissan boasts one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The X-Trail historically retains about 80-85% of its value after the first year in the GCC, making it a safer financial bet than many of its segment rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 181 hp produced by the 2.5L four-cylinder engine is delivered smoothly through the Xtronic CVT, providing reliable performance for daily urban traffic and stable cruising at 140 km/h. Its Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system features a dedicated 4x4 lock mode, giving drivers extra confidence when navigating gravel tracks or soft sand near weekend campsites. With a 2,000 kg braked towing capacity, it is also capable of hauling small leisure trailers or jet skis for coastal getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the heat, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated vents for both the second and third rows to ensure all passengers stay cool during July and August. The EZ Flex seating system allows the second row to slide and recline, providing easy access to the third row or expanding boot space to 585 litres when the rear-most seats are stowed. Acoustic glass and improved insulation in this generation significantly reduce road noise, a major benefit for long desert highway drives.

Safety

This X-Trail comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking, which are vital for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. The inclusion of rear parking sensors and a suite of six airbags provides peace of mind for family transport. Its 5-star safety architecture is complemented by Vehicle Dynamic Control and Hill Start Assist, ensuring the car remains stable on varied regional road surfaces from tarmac to light off-road trails.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 7-seater is the ideal match for a growing family that needs Nissan's legendary reliability and a modern interior without the premium price tag of a higher trim. Its silver-on-grey configuration and verified regional spec make it a high-liquidity asset that will be easy to service and eventually resell in any GCC market.
