Summary

This 2023 RAM 1500 TRX Luxury represents the peak of performance pickups in the GCC, offering a rare combination of supercar-level acceleration and desert-conquering hardware. The white exterior is the most practical choice for the regional climate, ensuring high demand and strong resale value in the local pre-owned market. While the mileage reflects active use typical for a high-performance GCC cruiser, the TRX is built on a 98% high-strength steel frame designed to handle extreme stress. For the buyer who wants to dominate both the Sheikh Zayed Road and the dunes of Al Badayer, this Hellcat-powered beast is the definitive choice. The Luxury (Level 2) trim ensures that the brutal power is matched by a cabin refined enough for long cross-border drives.

This Car vs Other 2023 RAM 1500s

At 94,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the average GCC passenger car but aligns with the typical usage of a dedicated long-distance highway cruiser in the region. The white paintwork is a significant advantage in the UAE, offering the best heat rejection and maintaining the highest resale liquidity. Compared to lower-mileage imports, this GCC-spec example provides peace of mind regarding cooling systems and dust protection optimized for local conditions.

TRX LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury (Level 2) Equipment Group transforms the TRX from a focused off-roader into a premium executive space. It adds essential GCC comforts including ventilated front and rear seats, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, and a digital rearview mirror. You also benefit from a 360° surround-view camera and blind-spot monitoring, which are vital for maneuvering a vehicle of this scale in dense city traffic.

RAM 1500 vs Segment Rivals

While the Ford F-150 Raptor and Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 are capable, the TRX sits in a higher performance bracket with its 702 hp supercharged Hemi engine. It leads the segment in raw power and sheer highway presence, utilizing Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers that provide superior stability compared to standard off-road setups. The 125-litre fuel tank is specifically appreciated for long desert expeditions where range is critical.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 19.6 L/100km, though highway cruising can improve this to approximately 16.8 L/100km. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized Mopar centers, which are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The TRX retains value exceptionally well in the GCC due to its status as a flagship model and its documented durability under high-temperature conditions.

Performance & Capability

The 6.2L supercharged V8 delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, a figure that remains startling for a 3-ton pickup. With 300 mm of ground clearance and 35-inch all-terrain tires, it is engineered for high-speed desert running rather than just slow-speed crawling. The Selec-Speed Control and multiple drive modes allow you to tailor the active damping and torque split for sand, rock, or wet tarmac.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a mix of performance-oriented suede and premium leather, featuring a 12-inch vertical touchscreen that serves as the command center for the Uconnect system. Dual-pane panoramic sunroof and acoustic glass help manage the GCC sun, while the high-capacity air conditioning system is specifically tuned for rapid cabin pull-down in 45°C+ temperatures. Rear passengers enjoy class-leading legroom and dedicated climate vents, making it a viable family vehicle.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive ADAS suite including Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Keep Assist. The high-strength steel frame provides a rigid safety cell, while the 360° camera system is indispensable for managing the truck's significant blind spots. Stability control is calibrated specifically for the TRX's high center of gravity to ensure composure during emergency highway maneuvers.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec TRX Luxury is the perfect match for an enthusiast who demands maximum performance without sacrificing the premium features required for daily GCC life.
