Summary

This GCC-spec Black Badge represents the most sought-after configuration in the regional market, offering a darkened aesthetic and enhanced performance that resonates strongly with local buyers. With mileage just above average for its year, it provides a well-documented ownership history that is crucial for value retention in the luxury segment. The Black Badge trim is a standout choice for those seeking a more assertive presence on the road compared to the standard model, featuring unique carbon fiber finishes and a sportier chassis setup. In the GCC, the Grey exterior is a highly resilient resale color, bridging the gap between conservative taste and contemporary luxury. For the elite buyer, this vehicle offers the ultimate balance of off-road capability and refined highway cruising for long-distance travel between Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2023 Cullinans

At 27,000 km, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the typical 20,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the UAE, yet it remains in prime mechanical condition with a full service history. The Grey exterior is one of the strongest resale colors in the GCC market, offering better heat reflection than pure black while maintaining a high prestige value. This specific listing benefits from being a GCC-spec vehicle, ensuring full compatibility with local service centers and regional cooling requirements.

BLACK BADGE vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge trim is not just an appearance package; it adds 29 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque over the standard model, significantly improving low-end responsiveness. It features standard 22-inch black-painted wheels, dark chrome exterior accents, and a sport-tuned air suspension that offers a more controlled ride during high-speed highway travel. Inside, it introduces the 'Technical Carbon' veneer and the Starlight Headliner, features that GCC buyers prioritize for their high resale demand.

Cullinan vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Bentley Bentayga or the Aston Martin DBX, the Cullinan leads with its sheer cabin volume and the 'Architecture of Luxury' all-aluminum spaceframe that provides a quieter ride. Its 100-litre fuel tank is superior for long desert drives between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, where range is a genuine consideration. The Rolls-Royce also offers a more usable 600-litre boot space, making it a more practical choice for family road trips compared to its more sport-focused rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 16.0 L/100km on highway drives, though this can rise in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are managed by a Condition Based Servicing system, with major maintenance typically required every 20,000 km at authorized centers across the GCC. The Black Badge trim historically retains its value better than the standard trim, experiencing approximately 18% depreciation over the first three years, which is lower than many ultra-luxury segment competitors.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbocharged V12 delivers a refined 592 hp in Black Badge tune, allowing this 2.7-tonne SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. Its 'Everywhere' mode optimizes the all-wheel-drive system and air suspension for sand and gravel surfaces, making it surprisingly capable for weekend desert excursions. On the highway, the 8-speed automatic uses satellite-aided transmission technology to pre-select gears based on the road ahead, ensuring seamless power delivery.

Comfort & Cabin

This 5-seat configuration includes ventilated and heated front seats, essential for the extreme GCC summer, alongside a quad-zone climate control system with powerful cooling capacity. The acoustic glass and heavy soundproofing ensure the cabin remains a sanctuary from road noise and high-speed wind during cross-country drives. The Bespoke Audio system is specifically tuned to the interior's unique materials, providing a concert-hall experience even at highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite including a 360-degree camera system, night vision with pedestrian detection, and active cruise control for effortless long-distance travel. The vehicle features high-performance Black Badge brakes with larger rotors, providing superior stopping power for fast-moving highway traffic. Additional systems like lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring come standard, providing critical assistance on busy multi-lane roads.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands the most assertive version of the world's most luxurious SUV, this Black Badge offers a perfect GCC-ready specification with a proven service record. It is a strategically sound purchase for those who value the exclusivity of the Black Badge trim and the long-term resale security of a GCC-spec vehicle.
