Summary

This 2023 Model X Plaid represents the absolute peak of electric SUV performance, offering a staggering 1,020 hp that remains unmatched in its segment. With 41,000 km over three years, its mileage is significantly lower than the GCC annual average of 20,000 km, making it a highly attractive choice for buyers seeking a near-new experience. The black-on-black configuration is a perennial favorite in the UAE market, ensuring strong resale demand and aesthetic longevity. For the GCC driver, the combination of tri-motor all-wheel drive and Tesla's sophisticated thermal management makes it a formidable daily driver that handles both city heat and high-speed highway commutes with ease. This listing provides a rare opportunity to own the ultimate version of the Model X with a balanced service history in regional specification.

This Car vs Other 2023 Model Xs

With 41,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 13,600 km per year, which is well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km seen in the GCC. This lower-than-average usage suggests less wear on the interior upholstery and battery cycles compared to many available units. The black exterior is a high-demand color in the regional used market, often commanding a quicker sale and better value retention than more niche shades.

Plaid vs Lower Trims

The Plaid trim is a significant leap over the standard Dual Motor version, adding a third electric motor to unlock the full 1,020 hp output and torque vectoring for superior handling. Inside, the Plaid features carbon fiber decor instead of wood, along with high-performance seating that includes unique piping and extended ventilation. It also comes standard with the 22-speaker, 960-watt audio system featuring Active Road Noise Reduction, which is a noticeable upgrade during long highway drives across the Emirates.

Model X vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW iX M60 and Lotus Eletre offer premium cabins, the Model X Plaid leads the segment with its unique Falcon Wing doors and a massive 2,250 kg towing capacity. Its access to the extensive Tesla Supercharger network across the UAE and Oman provides a seamless long-distance travel experience that non-Tesla rivals still struggle to match. Furthermore, its seven-seat configuration offers greater family utility than the strictly five-seat layouts found in many high-performance electric SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are exceptionally low for a vehicle with over 1,000 hp, as it bypasses the high fuel consumption of V8 rivals in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are condition-based rather than fixed, though UAE owners typically benefit from annual checks of the HEPA filtration system and brake fluid to counter regional dust and heat. While high-performance EVs experience initial depreciation, the Plaid trim's status as the flagship model helps it maintain a value premium in the GCC market over the standard trims. The established Tesla service centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi ensure reliable long-term support for parts and software.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure is the 2.6-second 0–100 km/h sprint, which places this seven-seater in the company of dedicated supercars. The tri-motor powertrain provides instantaneous overtaking power at any speed, which is particularly useful on fast-moving highways like the E11. With standard electronic air suspension, the car can adjust its ground clearance to clear speed bumps or optimize aerodynamics at cruising speeds. Despite its focus on speed, the all-wheel-drive system remains highly capable of handling gravel tracks and sandy beach access during weekend outings.

Comfort & Cabin

This Model X is configured with seven seats, making it a versatile family hauler that doesn't sacrifice performance. The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring standard ventilated front seats and a powerful tri-zone climate control system paired with a medical-grade HEPA air filtration system. The world's largest panoramic windshield provides an unobstructed view of the skyline, while the 17-inch cinematic display offers console-grade gaming and streaming capabilities for passengers during charging stops.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the Model X, featuring a 5-star rating and a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies. Standard features include collision avoidance, emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for navigating busy multi-lane UAE highways. The low center of gravity provided by the floor-mounted battery pack also gives it an exceptionally low rollover risk compared to traditional combustion-engine SUVs.

The bottom line

This Model X Plaid is the perfect choice for a tech-forward family or executive who demands supercar acceleration without compromising on seven-seat practicality. Its low mileage and GCC-spec status make it a standout opportunity in the current market.
