Summary

This 2023 Land Cruiser VXR is a standout find in the GCC market, offering exceptionally low mileage for its 3-year age. As the flagship luxury trim, the VXR is the most desirable specification for local buyers, ensuring it remains the gold standard for resale value across the Emirates. Its black exterior provides a prestigious road presence that is highly favored in the used market, while the move to the twin-turbo V6 delivers significantly sharper highway performance than older V8 models. For the serious buyer, this listing offers a near-new ownership experience in a vehicle legendary for its ability to master both high-speed cross-border commutes and weekend desert excursions.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruisers

With just 18,500 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 60,000–75,000 km expected for a 3-year-old SUV in the GCC. This low usage translates to minimal wear on the mechanical components and the interior, providing a massive advantage at future resale. The black exterior is a primary resale color in the region, ensuring high demand and price stability compared to more niche shades.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR sits at the top of the hierarchy, adding the sophisticated Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) which the GXR lacks, providing a much smoother ride on uneven terrain. Inside, the VXR upgrades the experience with a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a head-up display. Crucially for the GCC climate, it features ventilated seats in both the front and second rows, along with a four-zone climate control system.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Nissan Patrol or the Lexus LX, the Land Cruiser 300 leads in pure utility and regional parts availability. Its 110-litre fuel tank offers a superior touring range for long desert stretches where rivals often require more frequent stops. While European rivals might offer more complex cabin tech, the Toyota remains the only choice for buyers who prioritize a bulletproof service network that spans from the UAE to the furthest reaches of Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L Twin-Turbo engine averages approximately 12.1 L/100km, which is efficient for a 7-seat SUV of this size in GCC stop-start traffic. Toyota's authorized service network is the most extensive in the region, with centers in every major city ensuring low-cost maintenance and immediate parts availability. The Land Cruiser holds the highest value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating only 8-10% annually, making it one of the safest financial investments in the automotive market.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbo powertrain delivers 650 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds, which is impressive for a vehicle with such off-road pedigree. It features the advanced Multi-Terrain Select system with dedicated modes for Sand, Mud, and Rock, allowing even novice drivers to navigate the dunes of the Empty Quarter with confidence. The body-on-frame construction ensures that despite its luxury trim, it remains a genuine 4x4 capable of heavy-duty towing and serious overlanding.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat cabin is designed specifically for the extreme heat of the Gulf, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and a factory-fitted cool box in the center console for beverages. The VXR trim provides premium leather upholstery and rear-seat entertainment screens, keeping passengers comfortable on long drives between Abu Dhabi and Muscat. Acoustic glass is standard on this trim, significantly reducing wind and road noise during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

This VXR is equipped with the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, which are essential for reducing fatigue on long desert highways. The 360-degree Multi-Terrain Monitor provides a clear view of obstacles around and even underneath the vehicle, a vital tool for safe desert navigation. Standard safety tech also includes Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and 10 airbags, offering comprehensive protection for the entire family.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a flagship GCC-spec VXR with the mileage of a one-year-old car, offering the perfect balance of luxury and the region's best resale security.
