Summary

This 2023 Land Cruiser GXR offers a perfect balance of modern twin-turbo power and legendary Toyota reliability. With mid-range mileage for a GCC-based SUV, it has been driven primarily on the region's expansive highway network, ensuring the mechanical components remain in peak condition. The Attitude Black exterior is a high-demand color in the local market, offering excellent resale prospects when you decide to upgrade. As the go-to choice for families and desert enthusiasts alike, this LC300 model stands out for its superior cooling performance and massive fuel range. Buying a GCC-spec Land Cruiser remains the safest investment in the region due to the unrivaled parts availability and service support across all seven emirates and beyond.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruisers

At 53,500 km, this vehicle's mileage is considered average for the GCC, where annual driving typically reaches 25,000 km due to inter-city commutes. The black exterior is one of the top three colors for resale value in the UAE, ensuring it stays desirable in the pre-owned market. Compared to high-mileage examples, this well-maintained LC300 offers a fresh cabin and a powertrain that is just beginning its long-term life cycle.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a significant upgrade over the base EXR, most notably adding premium leather upholstery and a larger 12.3-inch high-resolution infotainment display with wireless smartphone integration. It also introduces essential GCC comforts like ventilated front seats and a 360-degree panoramic view monitor, which are highly valued during the summer months and for maneuvering in tight urban parking spaces.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol and Chevrolet Tahoe offer strong competition, the Land Cruiser leads the segment with its specialized 110-litre dual-tank system, designed for long-distance desert crossings without frequent fuel stops. Its 3.5-litre twin-turbo engine delivers more torque than most naturally aspirated rivals, providing effortless overtaking on the E11 highway even when fully loaded with seven passengers.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 averages approximately 12.1 L/100km, which is efficient for a full-size SUV in GCC stop-start traffic. As a GCC-spec Toyota, it benefits from the most extensive service network in the Middle East, with major service centers available in every major city from Dubai to Riyadh. Historically, the Land Cruiser retains its value better than any other vehicle in its class, typically depreciating only 8-10% annually.

Performance & Capability

The LC300 GXR produces a potent 409 hp and 650 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.7 seconds—impressive for a vehicle of this size. It features a full-time all-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case and Multi-Terrain Select, making it as capable on Liwa’s sand dunes as it is composed on the highway. A 10-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth power delivery and reduced engine noise at high cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is tailored for the harsh Middle Eastern climate, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to keep all seven passengers cool. Ventilated seats are a standard luxury here, providing immediate relief during summer drives. The cabin is also exceptionally well-insulated, utilizing acoustic glass to maintain a quiet environment during high-speed highway travel between emirates.

Safety

This GXR is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including 10 airbags, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are vital for safety on the UAE’s fast-moving multi-lane roads. It also features front and rear parking sensors paired with a 360-degree camera system to assist with visibility. The robust body-on-frame construction provides a fundamental level of passive safety that has earned the model a 5-star ANCAP rating.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a modern, high-performance SUV that guarantees the highest resale value in the Middle East, this GCC-spec Land Cruiser GXR is the definitive choice.
