Summary

This 2024 BMW 740i M Sport represents a compelling acquisition for the executive buyer, combining exceptionally low mileage of just 21,600 km with the highly desirable White exterior that ensures peak resale value in the GCC. While many segment rivals feel like legacy sedans, the 7 Series offers a futuristic, tech-first cabin highlighted by the Curved Display and BMW's latest iDrive 8.5. The all-wheel drive configuration provides superior stability during high-speed cross-emirate commutes, while the M Sport trim adds a sharper, more aggressive aesthetic. For the buyer looking for a near-new flagship with the most efficient powertrain in the range, this American-spec unit offers significant savings over new showroom prices.

This Car vs Other 2024 740is

With just 21,600 km, this vehicle sits well below the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, placing it in a premium low-mileage category. The Alpine White exterior remains the most sought-after color for resale in the region, offering superior heat reflection and market liquidity compared to darker shades. As an American-spec model, it provides the same mechanical platform as local units but often includes high-value technology packages at a more accessible price point.

M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim transforms the 740i from a conservative sedan into a performance-oriented executive, adding an aerodynamic body kit, Shadowline exterior trim, and 20-inch M-specific wheels. Inside, you benefit from the M Sport steering wheel and bespoke interior accents that distinguish it from the base design. Crucially for the GCC, this trim typically pairs with higher-tier convenience features like the head-up display and advanced parking assistants that are often optional on entry-level versions.

740i vs Segment Rivals

The 740i leads the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8 in digital interface design, featuring a 14.9-inch touchscreen that integrates seamlessly with a 12.3-inch cluster. Its 3.0L inline-six is widely regarded as the most refined six-cylinder in the segment, offering a smoother power delivery than the equivalent V6 units found in the Lexus LS. Additionally, the 540-litre boot provides class-leading practicality for long-distance travel between major GCC cities.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 375 hp mild-hybrid engine is impressive for a car of this size, averaging approximately 7.9L/100km on long highway stretches. BMW's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and specialist technicians are readily available. While European luxury sedans see higher initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the current generation 7 Series holds value well in the UAE market due to its high tech-appeal and the strong demand for the M Sport aesthetic.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 375 hp TwinPower Turbo inline-six, the 740i xDrive reaches 100 km/h in a swift 5.2 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. The all-wheel drive system is paired with adaptive air suspension, which automatically adjusts ride height and damping to maintain a cloud-like ride over varied road surfaces. Multiple drive modes allow you to sharpen the throttle and steering for a more engaging experience or prioritize fuel efficiency for city traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of modern luxury, featuring four-zone automatic climate control to ensure every passenger remains cool during peak summer months. The 18-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system provides an immersive acoustic experience, while the acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road and wind noise during high-speed cruises. With heated seats and a heated steering wheel, it is also perfectly prepared for the cooler winter months in the northern emirates or desert nights.

Safety

This 740i is equipped with the Active Driving Assistant suite, providing essential layers of protection including Frontal Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Departure Warning. The standard 360-degree camera and Active Park Distance Control are invaluable when navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai or Abu Dhabi malls. Adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beams ensure maximum visibility on unlit desert roads, making it one of the safest executive choices on the market.

The bottom line

This 2024 M Sport is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy professional who wants a low-mileage, high-spec flagship that balances performance with everyday efficiency. It offers the best of BMW’s latest design language in a resale-friendly color, ready for immediate delivery.
