Summary

This 2024 BMW M3 xDrive Competition is a standout choice for performance enthusiasts in the GCC, offering a rare balance of supercar-rivaling speed and four-door practicality. With only 80,000 km over two years, the mileage reflects consistent highway use, typical for high-performance commuters in the region, while the Grey exterior remains a top-tier choice for resale value in the local market. The Competition trim significantly elevates the experience over the base M3, providing the sophisticated xDrive all-wheel-drive system that is essential for putting down 510 hp on the UAE's high-speed road networks. Compared to its rivals, the M3 offers a more visceral, driver-focused experience without sacrificing the daily usability needed for summer traffic. For a GCC buyer, this specific listing represents an opportunity to own the peak of the G80 generation with a proven regional specification.

This Car vs Other 2024 M3s

At 80,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the average low-mileage weekend car, but its condition and year-to-mileage ratio suggest reliable highway commuting between emirates. In the GCC market, high-performance sedans with this mileage are often better maintained through authorized centers than lower-mileage imports. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable shade in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it will attract a premium compared to niche or brighter colors at the time of resale.

xDrive COMPETITION vs Lower Trims

The xDrive Competition trim is the definitive spec for the GCC, adding the rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that the standard rear-wheel-drive M3 lacks. This trim also boosts power from 480 hp to 510 hp and replaces the manual gearbox with a lightning-fast 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. Additionally, you gain M-specific sport seats, extended Merino leather, and the advanced M Drive Professional system for track-ready telemetry.

M3 vs Segment Rivals

The BMW M3 stands apart from the Mercedes-AMG C63 and Audi RS5 by maintaining its iconic inline-six heritage while offering superior steering precision. Its xDrive system provides a distinct advantage on the region's dust-covered asphalt, offering more traction than rear-drive competitors. Furthermore, the 14.9-inch Curved Display and iDrive 8.5 system currently lead the segment in both visual impact and processing speed.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.2 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic will see this rise significantly. Maintenance is strictly handled through BMW's authorized network across the GCC, with major service intervals typically occurring every 10,000 to 12,000 km. The M3 Competition holds its value exceptionally well in the UAE, typically seeing a depreciation rate of only 12-15% in its first few years, far outperforming standard executive sedans.

Performance & Capability

With a 0–100 km/h time of just 3.5 seconds, this M3 offers blistering acceleration that makes highway merging effortless. The M xDrive system allows for a 2WD mode for pure rear-wheel-drive dynamics or 4WD Sport for maximum grip during spirited drives through the Jebel Jais mountain passes. Even in extreme summer heat, the M-specific cooling system is engineered to keep the high-output twin-turbo engine within optimal temperature ranges.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of M-division craft, featuring a five-seat layout with multi-zone climate control designed to combat the intense GCC sun. Standard ventilated front seats and high-grade Merino leather ensure comfort during long cross-border drives, while the 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system provides an immersive audio experience. Acoustic glazing helps isolate the cabin from road noise, maintaining a premium feel even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

This M3 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Active Blind Spot Detection and Frontal Collision Warning, which are vital for the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE. The 360-degree Parking Assistant Plus makes navigating tight city spaces simple, while M-specific Dynamic Stability Control is tuned to provide safety without intruding on the car's performance capabilities.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands a supercar in a sedan body, this GCC-spec M3 xDrive Competition is the ultimate daily-driver opportunity in today's market.
