• 475 hp from a naturally aspirated 6.4L V8
• 3,946 kg maximum braked towing capacity

Summary

This Dodge Durango SRT 392 is a high-performance standout in the three-row segment, pairing pure muscle-car DNA with genuine seven-seat practicality. With 35,000 km, its mileage is significantly below the typical annual average for the UAE, suggesting a vehicle that has been used sparingly rather than for heavy daily commuting. The Grey exterior is a resilient choice for the local climate, holding its visual appeal and resale value better than more niche colors in the GCC market. For a buyer who needs to move a family without sacrificing the visceral character of a naturally aspirated V8, this specific example represents a rare opportunity to secure one of the final iterations of a legendary powertrain.

This Car vs Other 2024 Durangos

While many 2024 models in the region quickly accumulate high mileage through inter-emirate highway travel, this SRT 392 remains notably fresh at 35,000 km. The Grey finish is highly sought after in the UAE used market for its ability to mask the fine desert dust that affects darker cars, supporting a smoother resale process later. As a high-trim performance model, it avoids the standard depreciation seen on V6 variants, as enthusiasts increasingly look to secure these large-displacement Hemis before they are phased out.

SRT 392 vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the SRT 392 adds hardware that lower trims simply cannot match, most notably the 6.4L Hemi engine and Quadra-Trac Active On-Demand AWD. GCC buyers will appreciate the Brembo high-performance braking system and adaptive damping suspension, which provide superior stability during high-speed highway cruising. Inside, the SRT adds specific drive modes and Performance Pages, allowing you to monitor engine vitals and cooling in real-time—a crucial advantage during the peak summer months.

Durango vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Ford Explorer ST or Chevrolet Tahoe, the Durango SRT 392 leads with a dedicated performance chassis and a significantly higher towing capacity of nearly 4 tonnes. While European luxury SUVs offer refinement, the Durango provides a more visceral, mechanical driving experience that is better suited to the vast, open highways of the GCC. It also offers a genuine 93-litre fuel tank, providing the necessary range for long-distance trips between major cities like Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.4L V8 typically averages around 15–17 L/100km in GCC city traffic, though the fuel-saver technology aids efficiency on the highway. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, and Dodge’s established authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensures easy access to specialized Mopar parts. As one of the last naturally aspirated V8 SUVs in its class, the SRT 392 historically experiences much slower depreciation than its V6 counterparts in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The SRT 392 is defined by its 4.4-second 0–100 km/h sprint, a figure that rivals many dedicated sports cars while carrying seven passengers. Its All-Wheel Drive system is tuned for on-road performance but provides exceptional stability on gravel-strewn surfaces and during heavy seasonal rains. With a best-in-class towing capacity of 3,946 kg, it is one of the few vehicles capable of towing a large boat or trailer while maintaining enough power for effortless highway overtaking at speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for GCC comfort, featuring a three-zone automatic climate control system that is highly effective at cooling the large interior volume quickly. SRT-specific sport seats provide excellent support for long drives, while the 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 system offers seamless wireless connectivity for local navigation. The seven-seat layout remains practical for large families, with the high-quality insulation providing a quiet haven from external heat and wind noise on the highway.

Safety

This SRT 392 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Path Detection, which are essential for navigating the fast-moving, multi-lane highways of the UAE. Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking provide an extra layer of protection during long desert drives where driver fatigue can occur. The robust Brembo braking system ensures significantly shorter stopping distances than standard SUVs, a critical performance-safety feature in high-speed traffic.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast who needs a family-sized SUV but refuses to give up the sound and soul of a Hemi V8, this low-mileage 2024 SRT 392 is the perfect bridge between a muscle car and a practical daily driver.
