Summary

This 2024 Exeed LX Comfort is a sophisticated choice for urban professionals, offering a near-new experience with mileage that sits slightly above average for its 2-year age in the GCC market. Its white exterior is the most practical choice for the region, reflecting heat efficiently and maintaining high resale demand. As a premium sub-brand of Chery, the LX stands out by offering a high-tech cabin environment usually reserved for much more expensive European crossovers. For a GCC buyer, the standard dealer-backed reliability and powerful cooling system make this an easy entry into the luxury crossover segment. It provides a balanced mix of turbocharged efficiency and advanced interior tech that feels modern and durable.

This Car vs Other 2024 Exeed LXs

With 69,000 km over 2 years, this LX has been driven roughly 34,500 km per year, which is higher than the typical GCC average of 25,000 km. However, the white paint remains a significant advantage for local resale value, as it is the most sought-after color in the used market. This car represents a well-utilized example that is mechanically primed for continued highway commuting.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim serves as the gateway to the Exeed range, but it is far from basic, coming standard with the impressive dual 12.3-inch screen architecture found in the higher Flagship models. It includes essential GCC features such as a 360-degree camera and a panoramic sunroof, which are often absent on base models of competing brands. You also get leather upholstery and keyless entry as standard, ensuring a premium feel despite being an entry-level trim.

LX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed LX competes directly with the MG RX5 and Geely Coolray, distinguishing itself with a more refined, 'executive' interior design and superior cabin insulation. Its 51-litre fuel tank provides a solid highway range, and it offers more standard safety tech than base-level Japanese rivals in the same price bracket. The build quality and materials used in the cabin are specifically designed to mirror premium European standards.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is excellent at approximately 6.9 L/100km, which is ideal for the stop-start traffic typical of Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are standard for the region at every 10,000 km, and Exeed’s authorized network through AG Auto ensures parts are readily available across the UAE. While Chinese brands initially faced steeper depreciation, Exeed’s 7-year warranty program has stabilized resale values, making it a competitive long-term ownership proposition.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine delivers a smooth 144 hp, specifically tuned for linear power delivery during city maneuvers and steady highway cruising. It handles the 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 10.5 seconds, providing enough pep for merging safely onto fast-moving UAE motorways. The front-wheel-drive setup and CVT transmission are optimized for fuel savings and comfort rather than off-road use, making it an ideal companion for daily commutes between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a highlight, featuring high-definition curved displays that integrate infotainment and driver data seamlessly. The air conditioning system is robustly engineered for the GCC summer, quickly cooling the cabin even after hours in the sun. Practicality is also strong, with 60:40 split-folding rear seats that allow you to expand the 351-litre boot for larger shopping trips or family airport runs.

Safety

Standard safety features on the Comfort trim include a 360-degree camera system, which is invaluable for parking in tight city spaces. It also comes equipped with electronic stability control, traction control, and multiple airbags to protect all occupants. These systems are particularly useful on sand-swept desert highways where maintaining grip and visibility is essential for safety.

The bottom line

This Exeed LX is perfect for a tech-conscious buyer looking for a late-model premium SUV without the high price tag of a European brand. It offers a well-documented GCC history and a color that ensures great resale value, making it a smart, low-risk upgrade.
