Summary

This 2024 Exeed LX Comfort offers a unique opportunity to own a nearly new premium SUV that stands out for its sophisticated design and advanced technological suite. In the GCC market, where European aesthetics meet the demand for high-value features, this model bridges the gap by offering a luxury-tier cabin at a more accessible entry point. The Blue exterior is a refreshing departure from the standard monochrome palette and holds its own in terms of resale appeal for those seeking a modern, stylish look. Compared to its peers in the compact SUV segment, the LX provides a more refined interior finish and a significantly more comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems as standard. For a buyer in the UAE or across the wider GCC, this vehicle represents a smart move into a high-spec crossover that handles city commuting and inter-emirate highway trips with equal poise. The balance of a fuel-efficient powertrain and a feature-rich interior makes it a standout choice for the tech-conscious driver.

This Car vs Other 2024 LXs

When looking at the 2024 Exeed LX market in the GCC, this specific vehicle presents a distinct profile. While the mileage of 73,542 km is higher than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the region, it indicates a car that has been primarily used for long-distance highway commuting, which is often less taxing on the engine and transmission than stop-and-go city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. The mechanical integrity remains excellent, as these vehicles are engineered to handle the thermal demands of the Middle Eastern climate. Choosing a 2024 model with this mileage allows a buyer to secure a current-generation vehicle with the latest infotainment and safety updates at a much more attractive price point than lower-mileage examples. The Blue finish is well-regarded for its ability to hide the light dust common in the region while maintaining a premium appearance under the bright desert sun.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim serves as a highly competitive entry point into the Exeed brand, yet it carries features that many rivals only offer in their top-tier configurations. Over more basic versions available in other markets, this GCC-spec Comfort trim includes a high-definition digital cockpit that integrates both the instrument cluster and the infotainment screen into a seamless panoramic display. You also benefit from a more advanced climate control system specifically tuned for the extreme heat of the GCC summer, ensuring rapid cabin cooling even after the car has been parked in the sun. The interior materials are upgraded to provide a more tactile, premium feel, with soft-touch surfaces and ergonomic seating that surpasses the basic fabric found in entry-level crossovers. Furthermore, the inclusion of a comprehensive 360-degree camera system in this trim makes navigating tight parking spots in busy urban centers significantly easier than in lower-trim models.

LX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed LX competes in a crowded segment against established names like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Changan Uni-T. Where the LX takes the lead is in its standard technology package; while rivals often charge a premium for digital displays and advanced safety suites, the LX includes them as part of its core identity. Its 1.5L turbocharged engine is designed for a balance of efficiency and urban agility, making it more responsive in city traffic than some of the naturally aspirated engines found in Japanese competitors. The interior design follows a much more modern, minimalist aesthetic that feels a generation ahead of many traditional rivals. Additionally, the LX offers a quieter cabin environment at highway speeds due to superior sound insulation, a feature that becomes highly apparent during long drives between cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs for the Exeed LX are among the lowest in its class, thanks to the 1.5L 4-cylinder engine which is optimized for fuel economy without sacrificing the power needed for GCC highways. Real-world fuel consumption remains impressive even with the air conditioning running at full capacity, a critical factor for daily drivers in the region. Servicing is straightforward, with a growing network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and expertise are readily available. The brand’s focus on high-quality components means that major service intervals are manageable and predictable. In terms of resale, the LX is benefiting from Exeed's rapidly growing reputation for reliability and luxury in the Middle East, which helps it maintain a stable value compared to older, less tech-heavy brands. A 3-year-old GCC-spec LX is expected to hold its value well, especially as more buyers realize the long-term durability of the powertrain.

Performance & Capability

The most impressive aspect of the performance is the smooth delivery of power from the 1.5L turbocharged engine, which is perfectly paired with an efficient automatic transmission. This setup provides confident overtaking ability on the 140 km/h highways common in the GCC, while the Front Wheel Drive system ensures maximum fuel efficiency and lower maintenance over time. Despite being a crossover, the LX offers a generous ground clearance that allows it to handle gravel paths and uneven terrain during weekend outings with ease. The drive modes are calibrated to handle various conditions, from eco-conscious city driving to a more spirited sport mode for the open road. The suspension is tuned for comfort, soaking up road imperfections to provide a smooth ride for all five passengers. It is a vehicle designed for the modern lifestyle, where versatility and efficiency are the primary goals.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside the cabin, the Exeed LX Comfort prioritizes the passenger experience with a focus on the GCC climate. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, featuring dedicated rear vents to ensure that every passenger stays cool during the peak of summer. The five-seat layout provides ample legroom and headroom, making it a viable family vehicle or a spacious executive commuter. High-quality synthetic leather upholstery offers both durability and a luxury feel, and it is easy to maintain despite the sand and dust of the region. The dual-screen setup provides an intuitive interface for navigation, media, and vehicle settings, keeping the driver informed without distraction. Cabin insulation is a standout feature, effectively blocking out wind and road noise for a serene driving environment. Large door pockets and a well-sized boot ensure that there is plenty of space for daily essentials and shopping trips.

Safety

Safety is a cornerstone of the Exeed LX, which boasts a 5-Star NCAP rating, providing peace of mind for families and solo drivers alike. This Comfort trim is equipped with an array of active safety features, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Traction Control, which are vital for maintaining grip on sandy or oil-slicked roads after a rare rain. The ADAS suite includes features such as Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Detection, which are incredibly useful on the multi-lane highways of the UAE where traffic moves at high speeds. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel cage construction provide robust passive protection in the event of a collision. Furthermore, the inclusion of ISOFIX mounts makes it an excellent choice for parents, ensuring child seats can be secured easily and safely. Unlike many competitors that reserve these features for 'Limited' or 'Platinum' editions, Exeed makes high-level safety accessible.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants a 2024 SUV with premium features and the latest safety tech without the 'brand tax' of European marques, this Exeed LX is a brilliant choice. It is a modern, reliable, and highly efficient vehicle that is perfectly suited to the demands of daily life in the GCC.
