Summary

This 2024 Exeed VX Flagship represents a high-specification entry into the premium SUV segment, offering a feature list that rivals established luxury marques. While the mileage is high for a two-year-old vehicle, it reflects the typical long-distance highway use common for family cruisers in the GCC. The Flagship trim is highly sought after in the used market for its massage seats and advanced triplex screen setup, which provide a distinct tech advantage. Grey is a versatile, high-resale color in the region, effectively hiding dust and maintaining its appeal in the UAE's bright climate. For a buyer seeking maximum features per dirham, this GCC-spec SUV offers a modern, tech-heavy alternative to traditional mid-size rivals.

This Car vs Other 2024 VXs

With 220,000 km over two years, this vehicle has been driven significantly more than the GCC average of 25,000 km per year. This suggests the mileage was largely accumulated on inter-emirate highways, which is often easier on the powertrain than stop-start city traffic. The Grey exterior is a strong resale choice in the local market, offering better heat management and maintenance ease than darker shades.

Flagship vs Lower Trims

The Flagship trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the Luxury base model, most notably with the massive 40.6-inch triplex screen spanning the dashboard. It adds essential GCC comfort features like ventilated front seats and a premium 23-speaker audio system with headrest speakers. You also benefit from a more comprehensive ADAS suite and Nappa leather upholstery, which command a higher premium at resale.

VX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed VX is frequently cross-shopped with the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride, where it leads on pure cabin technology and screen real estate. Its 2.0L turbocharged engine provides 250 hp, offering a more modern, efficient alternative to the naturally aspirated V6s found in many rivals. The inclusion of a 23-speaker sound system and massage seats as standard on this trim is a level of luxury typically reserved for much more expensive European competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0L turbo AWD setup typically ranges between 9 and 12 L/100km depending on the mix of Dubai city traffic and open highway cruising. Service intervals are set at every 10,000 km, and Exeed's authorized network is growing rapidly across the UAE through Al Ghurair Motors, ensuring parts availability. While Chinese premium brands face higher initial depreciation than Japanese stalwarts, the high original equipment level helps the VX Flagship retain value among tech-focused buyers.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers 400 Nm of torque, allowing this large SUV to reach 100 km/h in approximately 9.3 seconds. Power is managed by a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission and a BorgWarner All-Wheel Drive system that provides confidence during heavy rain or on gravel tracks. While not a desert dune-basher, its 220 mm ground clearance and selectable drive modes make it perfectly suited for weekend family trips to the mountains or rural escapes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance GCC touring, featuring 7 seats with an emphasis on first-class passenger comfort. The Flagship trim includes spa-style massage seats for the driver and front passenger, along with a massive panoramic sunroof that brightens the interior. Multi-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures all three rows remain cool during the peak of the UAE summer, while acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from highway wind noise.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for the VX, which carries a 5-star C-NCAP rating. This Flagship trim is equipped with 10 airbags, including ultra-long side curtains that protect all three rows of passengers. The full ADAS suite includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree high-definition camera system, all of which are invaluable for navigating the fast-moving, multi-lane highways of the GCC.

The bottom line

Ideal for a large family prioritizing modern technology and cabin luxury, this Exeed VX Flagship offers a premium executive experience at a price point that reflects its highway-proven mileage.
