Tesla Model 3 PERFORMANCE

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds
• 567 km electric range (WLTP)
• 250 kW peak DC charging standard

Summary

This GCC-spec Performance model offers a significant advantage for UAE buyers, combining supercar-level acceleration with the regional confidence of an official local specification. With 91,815 km, the mileage is slightly below the 120,000–150,000 km typical for a 6-year-old vehicle in the Emirates, suggesting a well-maintained daily driver rather than a long-distance commuter. The Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice that resists the intense GCC sun better than darker shades while maintaining strong resale appeal. Compared to standard rivals, the Performance trim provides a dual-motor setup that ensures incredible stability on fast-moving UAE highways. For any local buyer, the access to Tesla's growing Supercharger network across the Emirates remains the single most important factor for stress-free ownership.

This Car vs Other 2020 Model 3s

At 91,815 km, this vehicle has covered roughly 15,300 km per year, which is notably lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km for executive sedans. This lower-than-average usage translates to less wear on the suspension and interior, a major plus for used market buyers. The Grey metallic finish is a highly practical choice for the region, offering better heat rejection and higher residual value than niche colors.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim is the pinnacle of the 2020 lineup, adding a larger 75 kWh usable battery and a front motor for All-Wheel Drive that the Standard Range Plus lacks. It features upgraded Performance Brakes, a lowered sport-tuned suspension, and the exclusive Track Mode software for enhanced cooling and handling control. Inside, you receive the full Premium Interior as standard, including the 15-speaker immersive sound system which is a massive step up from the base audio.

Model 3 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to petrol rivals like the BMW 3 Series or Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Model 3 Performance leads significantly in off-the-line response and lower running costs. Its dedicated EV architecture provides a completely flat floor for superior rear legroom and two storage areas (frunk and trunk) that traditional sedans cannot match. Furthermore, the ability to pre-cool the cabin via the app without starting an engine is a life-changing convenience during UAE summers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world energy consumption in the GCC typically averages 16–19 kWh/100km, which is far more cost-effective than high-octane petrol for a 490 hp car. Service intervals are minimal as there are no oil changes or spark plugs, with official Tesla service centers available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Jeddah. GCC-spec Teslas historically retain their value better than imported North American units due to local warranty compatibility and specialized cooling for the high-voltage battery.

Performance & Capability

With a verified 0–100 km/h time of just 3.3 seconds, this sedan outperforms almost everything at its price point on the road. The dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system provides instant traction, which is exceptionally useful on sandy or rain-slicked highway surfaces. The car reaches a top speed of 261 km/h, ensuring effortless overtaking and high-speed stability for long drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a minimalist 5-seat layout dominated by the central 15-inch touchscreen that controls almost every function, including the powerful dual-zone climate control. The full glass roof is UV-protected to block heat, while the premium audio system provides studio-quality sound throughout the cabin. For families, the flat floor makes the middle rear seat genuinely usable even for adults.

Safety

The 2020 Model 3 carries a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating and comes standard with the Autopilot suite, which includes 360-degree cameras and ultrasonic sensors. Key features for the GCC include collision avoidance and emergency braking, which are invaluable in fast-moving, multi-lane traffic. The low center of gravity from the floor-mounted battery also provides class-leading rollover protection.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who needs a practical daily driver, this GCC-spec Performance trim offers supercar speed and local peace of mind in one of the region's best-selling colors. It is a rare opportunity to own the top-tier Model 3 configuration with mileage that sits comfortably below the regional average.
