Summary

This 2024 Ford Everest XLT is a compelling choice for GCC families, offering modern American engineering in a robust, desert-capable body-on-frame platform. With mileage sitting just under 40,000 km, it represents a well-maintained example that has comfortably passed its initial break-in period while remaining mechanically fresh. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale in the region, effectively managing cabin heat during intense summers and ensuring strong market liquidity. Positioned above the base trim, the XLT provides the essential tech and comfort upgrades needed for long-distance highway hauls across the Emirates or weekend adventures into the dunes. Its 2.3L EcoBoost engine delivers a punchy 296 hp, outperforming several V6 rivals in efficiency without sacrificing the torque required for sandy terrain.

This Car vs Other 2024 Everests

With 39,964 km on the odometer, this Everest has been driven slightly more than the average UAE annual distance of 25,000 km, yet it remains well within its primary warranty window. The white exterior provides a significant resale advantage in the GCC market compared to darker tones, as it maintains higher demand and better paint durability under extreme UV exposure. Buyers will find this to be a mechanically proven example that has likely seen more highway use, which is generally easier on the drivetrain than short-trip city cycles.

XLT vs Lower Trims

The XLT trim adds significant value over the base XLS, including 18-inch alloy wheels, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel for a more premium cabin feel. It also features standard side steps and roof rails, which are essential for GCC family logistics and mounting desert gear. Crucially for the local climate, the XLT typically includes rear air conditioning vents with dedicated controls, ensuring all seven passengers stay cool during the summer months.

Everest vs Segment Rivals

The Everest leads rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Nissan X-Terra in terms of cabin technology, featuring a massive portrait-oriented 10.1-inch touchscreen and wireless connectivity as standard. Its 800 mm wading depth is among the highest in its class, providing superior confidence during the region's seasonal heavy rains and wadi crossings. Additionally, the 10-speed automatic transmission offers more refined ratios for highway cruising compared to the 6-speed units often found in competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.3L EcoBoost averages around 10.9 km/L, though city driving in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic will see this dip toward 9 km/L. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km to 15,000 km at authorized GCC centers like Al Tayer or Al Jazirah, with a robust parts network ensuring reasonable maintenance costs. The Everest holds its value well in the UAE and KSA markets, particularly in GCC spec, which guarantees full warranty support and cooling systems optimized for 45°C+ temperatures.

Performance & Capability

The 2.3L EcoBoost engine produces 296 hp and 420 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 9.5 seconds—a respectable figure for a body-on-frame SUV. Its All-Wheel Drive system features selectable terrain modes, allowing the driver to optimize traction for sand, mud, or slippery roads at the turn of a dial. With 227 mm of ground clearance and heavy-duty suspension, it is equally at home on long cross-country highway stretches as it is on gravel tracks and light desert trails.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is genuinely practical for large families, featuring a 60/40 second-row split and 50/50 third-row folding for flexible cargo management. High-performance dual-zone climate control is a standout feature, designed to rapidly cool the large interior volume even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. Acoustic insulation is excellent for the segment, keeping the cabin quiet during high-speed highway commutes between Emirates.

Safety

This Everest comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including seven airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Traction Control as standard. Advanced driver aids like Blind Spot Monitoring with trailer coverage and Cross-Traffic Alert provide essential support on fast-moving multi-lane highways. Rear parking sensors and a high-definition reversing camera are standard, making this large SUV easy to maneuver in tight urban parking spaces.

The bottom line

Perfect for the active GCC family, this 2024 Everest XLT offers the ideal balance of modern technology and rugged off-road hardware in a high-resale color.
