Summary

This 2024 Ford Taurus Trend is an exceptional find in the UAE market, presenting essentially as a new vehicle with only 31 km on the odometer. As one of the most popular full-size sedans in the GCC, this generation is specifically engineered for the region's unique climate and high-speed highway requirements. The Trend trim strikes a perfect balance for the savvy buyer, offering the modern tech of the flagship model without the premium price tag. Its Red exterior is a bold choice that stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, while the 2.0L EcoBoost engine ensures effortless overtaking on the E11. For a buyer seeking the latest design language and manufacturer-fresh internals, this GCC-spec sedan is a strategic acquisition.

This Car vs Other 2024 Ford Tauruss

With just 31 km, this Taurus is significantly below the average annual GCC mileage of 20,000–25,000 km, effectively offering a new-car experience at a pre-owned advantage. While most 2024 models currently in the market have already completed their first major service intervals, this unit remains in pristine, delivery-state condition. The vibrant Red finish offers a distinctive alternative to the common fleet colors, appealing to private owners who value individuality in the UAE's competitive sedan segment.

TREND vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim is widely regarded as the 'sweet spot' in the Taurus lineup, adding essential GCC comfort features not found on the base Ambiente. It introduces dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, which is vital for maintaining cabin cooling during peak Gulf summers. Additionally, the Trend gains an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and upgraded 18-inch alloy wheels, providing a more premium aesthetic and improved highway stability compared to the entry-level 17-inch variants.

Taurus vs Segment Rivals

The Ford Taurus leads rivals like the Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima in modern cabin technology, specifically with its class-leading 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen. Its long 2,930 mm wheelbase provides superior rear legroom, a critical factor for GCC families and executive commuters. Furthermore, the 66-litre fuel tank paired with high EcoBoost efficiency offers an impressive cruising range for long-distance travel between emirates or across the border to Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 2.0L EcoBoost typically averages 15.3 km/L, though GCC city traffic may see this dip toward 11.5 km/L. Ford maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE (Al Tayer and Premier Motors) and the wider GCC, ensuring parts availability is never a concern. The Taurus historically enjoys high demand in the Saudi and UAE markets, leading to stronger value retention than many European large sedans in the same price bracket. GCC-spec models like this one consistently command a 10–15% premium over imported American-spec alternatives at resale.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers 238 hp and a robust 382 Nm of torque, enabling a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 8.1 seconds. Power is delivered through an 8-speed automatic transmission that is tuned for the high speeds of UAE motorways, keeping RPMs low for a quiet, refined cabin. Selectable drive modes (Normal, Sport, and Eco) allow the driver to sharpen throttle response for city overtaking or maximize efficiency on the long stretch to Abu Dhabi.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Taurus Trend is designed for the high-temperature Gulf environment, featuring a powerful A/C system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all five passengers remain cool. The cabin is exceptionally well-insulated from road noise, creating a quiet environment for the 6-speaker audio system and wireless Apple CarPlay integration. The minimalist rotary gear shifter opens up the center console, providing ample space for large GCC-sized beverage holders and wireless charging for smartphones.

Safety

This Taurus Trend comes equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite as standard, featuring essential active safety for fast-moving highway traffic. Key systems include Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping Aid, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. For easier parking in tight mall spaces, it features a high-resolution rear-view camera and rear parking sensors, while six airbags provide comprehensive passive protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a 2024 Taurus in a standout color with delivery-only mileage, offering the perfect blend of GCC-specific comfort and modern American turbo-power. It is the ideal choice for a professional or family looking for a new-car feel without the initial showroom depreciation.
