Summary

This 2024 Haval Jolion PLUS offers a compelling mix of modern tech and urban efficiency for the GCC market. With mileage that aligns perfectly with the higher-than-average annual driving seen in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, it represents a well-maintained entry into the compact crossover segment. The striking Red exterior is a standout choice that holds its appeal well in a market often dominated by neutral tones, while the GCC regional spec ensures the cooling and filtration systems are built for extreme desert heat. As a practical five-seater, it outshines many rivals by providing class-leading rear legroom and a premium-feeling cabin at a highly accessible price point. For a buyer looking to balance fuel economy with a high-tech features list, this specific listing is a sharp opportunity in today's market.

This Car vs Other 2024 Jolions

With approximately 58,000 km on the odometer, this Jolion has been driven roughly 29,000 km per year, which is typical for highway commuters in the GCC where long-distance travel between emirates or cities is routine. While slightly above the global average, this mileage is consistent with a vehicle used for daily transit on the UAE's well-maintained highway networks. The vibrant Red finish offers a distinctive road presence and remains a popular choice for younger buyers in the used market.

PLUS vs Lower Trims

The PLUS trim is a significant step up from the Basic model, adding features that are essential for local comfort, including the 360-degree panoramic camera system which makes parking in tight urban malls effortless. It also upgrades the interior with more premium touchpoints and a larger infotainment interface compared to the entry-level variants. Most importantly for the region, the PLUS trim includes advanced driver assistance systems that provide better safety on fast-moving multi-lane highways.

Jolion vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos, the Jolion leads with a more futuristic cabin design and superior rear-seat legroom that comfortably accommodates three adults. It offers a larger standard tech suite, including features like adaptive cruise control that often cost significantly more in its Japanese or Korean counterparts. Its 1.5L turbocharged engine is specifically tuned for a balance of city agility and steady highway cruising.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5T engine averages around 8.1 L/100km, though this can vary during peak summer months when the air conditioning system is under maximum load. Haval has established an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. While Chinese brands typically see higher initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the Jolion's strong regional popularity helps it retain roughly 75-80% of its value after the first three years.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine delivers a smooth 147 hp, providing enough punch for confident overtaking on the E11 or Sheikh Zayed Road. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that is optimized for efficiency in stop-start city traffic. With front-wheel drive and a light-weight L.E.M.O.N platform, it handles with car-like agility while maintaining the elevated ground clearance necessary for navigating high speed bumps and gravel parking areas common in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Jolion PLUS features a minimalist layout with a rotary gear shifter that frees up space for a floating center console. The air conditioning system is specifically designed for the GCC climate, featuring dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers remain cool during the peak of summer. The cabin is well-insulated from road noise, and the inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures seamless connectivity for long cross-country drives.

Safety

The Jolion is built with high-strength steel and comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). This PLUS trim features advanced ADAS technologies such as Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking, which are invaluable for the fast-paced driving conditions in major GCC cities. Blind-spot monitoring and Lane Keep Assist come standard, providing an extra layer of protection during high-speed lane changes.

The bottom line

Perfect for a small family or an executive commuter, this GCC-spec Jolion PLUS offers modern luxury and high safety standards without the premium price tag. It is an ideal choice for someone who values cabin technology and needs a reliable, heat-tested crossover for the daily GCC grind.
