Summary

This 2024 Haval H6 offers a rare opportunity to own a modern, GCC-spec SUV that balances generous interior space with a robust 2.0L turbocharged engine. The white exterior is the strongest resale choice for the region, reflecting heat effectively and ensuring better value retention. With mileage that aligns with typical UAE annual driving patterns, this Medium trim provides a tech-heavy cabin that feels significantly more premium than its price point suggests. It is an ideal choice for families who need a reliable daily driver capable of handling both busy city traffic and long highway stretches between Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2024 Haval H6s

At 72,344 km, this vehicle reflects active use typical for a commuter vehicle in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. While many H6s in the market are entry-level models, this unit carries a verified service history that ensures its turbocharged powertrain remains in peak condition. The white paint is the most sought-after color in the local used market, offering a distinct advantage for future resale.

MEDIUM vs Lower Trims

The Medium trim is a significant step up from the base Active model, adding the critical 360-degree camera system which makes parking in tight urban spaces far easier. It also introduces a more refined interior with upgraded materials and enhanced infotainment connectivity, providing a more executive feel. Buyers also benefit from additional safety sensors and larger alloy wheels that improve both the stance and the ride quality compared to lower versions.

Haval H6 vs Segment Rivals

The H6 is frequently cross-shopped with the Toyota RAV4 and MG HS, where it stands out by offering a much larger standard touchscreen and more advanced cabin tech for a lower entry price. Its wheelbase provides competitive rear legroom that rivals larger SUVs, making it a favorite for families moving up from compact sedans. Additionally, the 2.0L turbo engine provides more effortless highway overtaking power than the naturally aspirated units found in many base-trim Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L turbo stays competitive, averaging approximately 7.4L/100km on long highway cruises. Haval has established a strong authorized service presence across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts availability and professional maintenance are easily accessible. The H6 has shown impressive value retention for a Chinese brand in the GCC, typically retaining about 70% of its value after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine delivers a punchy driving experience with plenty of low-end torque for quick starts in city traffic. On the highway, the front-wheel-drive setup and refined suspension offer a stable, comfortable ride even at maximum legal speeds. With 175 mm of ground clearance, it confidently handles gravel tracks and speed humps, though it is primarily designed as a road-focused family crossover.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed with the GCC summer in mind, featuring a powerful air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to keep all five passengers cool. The 560-litre boot is among the most practical in its class, expanding significantly when the rear seats are folded flat for large shopping trips or weekend getaways. Acoustic glass and soft-touch materials throughout the interior help isolate the cabin from road noise and desert heat.

Safety

Safety is a core strength of this trim, which comes equipped with six omni-directional airbags and a high-strength steel body structure. Standard features include the 360-degree Around View Monitor, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Stability Control, which are vital for maintaining traction on sandy or rain-slicked roads. The inclusion of rear parking sensors and a blind-spot monitoring system provides extra confidence during fast-paced highway lane changes.

The bottom line

For a buyer looking for a near-new SUV that doesn't sacrifice technology for price, this GCC-spec H6 is a smart, market-ready choice that excels in family utility.
