Summary

This 2024 Honda City LX Sport offers a perfect balance of modern aesthetics and class-leading efficiency for the GCC driver. As the range-topping non-hybrid trim, it features sportier exterior accents and a well-appointed interior that punches above its weight in the subcompact segment. With mileage that sits comfortably below the regional annual average, this silver sedan represents a high-value entry point for those seeking long-term reliability. Its standout feature is the exceptional fuel economy, making it one of the most cost-effective daily commuters available in the Emirates today. For any buyer prioritizing low running costs and Honda's legendary build quality, this listing is a top-tier choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 Honda Citys

With just over 35,000 km, this unit has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km per year average seen in the UAE. The Lunar Silver Metallic finish is a high-demand resale color in the GCC, offering better heat reflection and easier maintenance compared to darker shades. Choosing a low-mileage 2024 model allows you to benefit from the bulk of the initial depreciation while retaining a car that feels and drives like new.

LX SPORT vs Lower Trims

The LX Sport trim upgrades the ownership experience with 16-inch alloy wheels, a black mesh-type front grille, and a trunk spoiler that provides a more aggressive road presence. Inside, you benefit from a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel and a multi-angle rearview camera which are absent on the base DX trim. It also features remote engine start, a critical convenience for cooling the cabin before entry during the intense GCC summer months.

Honda City vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Yaris or Nissan Sunny, the Honda City leads with a massive 506-litre boot, providing significantly more utility for family airport runs or grocery trips. Its 1.5L i-VTEC engine is widely regarded for its smoother power delivery at highway speeds compared to its rivals. Additionally, the City offers superior rear legroom, often compared to cars in the larger mid-size sedan segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel costs remain exceptionally low with an official combined rating of 5.4 L/100km, which translates well to GCC highway driving. Honda maintains one of the strongest service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are always readily available. Historically, the City holds its value remarkably well, typically seeing a lower annual depreciation rate than its European competitors. Maintenance follows a standard 10,000 km interval, keeping long-term ownership predictable and affordable.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine produces 119 hp, providing enough punch for confident overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. The CVT transmission has been specifically tuned for a more linear feel, reaching 0-100 km/h in approximately 10.2 seconds. While designed for the urban environment, its refined suspension handles long cross-border drives with surprising stability. The inclusion of paddle shifters in this trim allows for more direct control during spirited driving or downshifting on mountain passes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for GCC comfort, featuring high-quality fabric seats that stay cool under the sun and a powerful automatic A/C system with dedicated rear vents. The 8-inch touchscreen interface includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless navigation during city commutes. Despite its compact exterior, the smart packaging provides a genuinely usable five-seat layout with an 'invigorating cockpit' design that focuses on driver ergonomics. Acoustic insulation helps keep the interior quiet, even at highway speeds.

Safety

Standard safety on the LX Sport includes a comprehensive suite of active systems such as Vehicle Stability Assist, Traction Control, and Hill Start Assist. Occupants are protected by a high-strength ACE body structure and dual front airbags, complemented by ISOFIX child seat anchors. The multi-angle rearview camera and rear parking sensors make navigating tight parking spots in Dubai or Abu Dhabi effortless and safe.

The bottom line

This Honda City LX Sport is the ideal match for a professional or small family seeking the newest tech and sporty styling without the high fuel bills of a larger sedan. Given its low mileage and popular silver finish, it is a low-risk, high-reward opportunity in the current GCC used market.
