Summary

This 2024 Jetour Dashing in Luxury trim represents an excellent entry into the modern crossover segment, combining aggressive coupe-like styling with high-end cabin technology. As a two-year-old vehicle with 75,000 km, it has been driven slightly above the GCC annual average, yet it remains a compelling choice due to its premium 1.6T powertrain which outperforms the base 1.5T found in most entry-level models. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the region, helping to deflect the desert heat while maintaining value. For a GCC buyer, this model stands out by offering a level of interior luxury and driver assistance usually reserved for vehicles at a much higher price point.

This Car vs Other 2024 Dashings

With 75,000 km on the odometer, this Dashing has seen more of the Emirates than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC. While the mileage is higher for its two-year age, this is often a sign of reliable highway use between cities, and the popular white paint remains the gold standard for maintaining resale value in the local market.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim is a significant step up from the Comfort or 1.5T variants, most notably replacing the standard 12.8-inch display with a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen. It adds essential GCC comforts like ventilated and heated front seats, a power tailgate, and a premium 8-speaker Sony audio system, alongside a more robust 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Dashing vs Segment Rivals

The Dashing is frequently cross-shopped with the Changan UNI-T and Geely Coolray. It leads these rivals in pure cabin tech real estate with its 15.6-inch display and offers a more generous 2,720 mm wheelbase, providing superior rear legroom for families compared to the tighter dimensions of its immediate compact competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.6T engine typically ranges between 7.7L and 9.0L/100km depending on GCC traffic conditions. Maintenance is straightforward with a growing network of authorized service centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, typically following 10,000 km intervals. While newer brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese stalwarts, the Dashing's high feature-to-price ratio helps it retain strong appeal in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged engine producing 194 hp and 290 Nm of torque, the Dashing offers a much more spirited drive than the base 1.5L versions. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides quick shifts that are particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving UAE highways. With 160 mm of ground clearance, it handles urban curbs and gravel parking lots with ease, though its front-wheel-drive setup is strictly optimized for paved roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a tech-focused sanctuary featuring a panoramic glass roof that brightens the interior and high-quality synthetic leather upholstery. For the intense GCC summer, the powerful air conditioning and ventilated seats ensure a cool environment even in peak August heat. The flat-floor design in the rear ensures that three adults can sit comfortably during long inter-city drives.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Luxury trim, which comes standard with a 360-degree panoramic camera system that simplifies parking in tight mall spaces. The full ADAS suite includes Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control, providing essential assistance for long highway commutes. This trim also features a total of six airbags, including side curtain protection, which is an upgrade over the base model's safety configuration.

The bottom line

This Luxury trim Dashing is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy buyer who wants maximum features and a powerful 1.6T engine without the premium price tag of a European SUV.
