Summary

This 2026 Jetour Dashing Luxury offers a compelling opportunity to own a current-model-year crossover that combines high technology with a bold, futuristic design. As the higher-tier Luxury trim, it features a more refined cabin and superior safety suite than the base variants, making it a standout in the mid-size SUV segment. The Black exterior remains one of the most desirable colors in the GCC, ensuring strong resale demand and aesthetic longevity. For the local buyer, the combination of advanced driver assistance and a 57-litre fuel tank makes it a practical companion for both city commutes and long highway drives across the region.

This Car vs Other 2026 Dashing s

This vehicle represents a modern entry into the GCC market, offering the latest in Jetour's design language and in-car technology. Being a current-model-year vehicle, it benefits from the most recent hardware updates and software optimizations. The Black exterior is a top choice for regional buyers, typically holding its value more effectively than brighter, niche colors in the secondary market.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base models, adding a standard 360-degree camera and a panoramic glass sunroof. It also introduces essential GCC comfort features such as heated and ventilated front seats and a power tailgate. Inside, the trim replaces standard materials with higher-quality synthetic leather and adds configurable ambient lighting to the cabin.

Dashing vs Segment Rivals

The Dashing competes directly with the Haval Jolion and Jaecoo J7 by offering a more futuristic aesthetic and a larger 15.6-inch infotainment screen in the Luxury trim. Its 2,720 mm wheelbase provides superior rear legroom compared to many compact rivals, making it better suited for small families. Furthermore, the inclusion of a Sony 8-speaker audio system as standard on high trims gives it a competitive edge in cabin tech.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is competitive for the segment, achieving approximately 13.0 km/L in mixed GCC conditions, though stop-start city traffic will see slightly higher consumption. As a Chinese-spec vehicle, owners should verify service compatibility at authorized centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where Jetour is rapidly expanding its network. Chinese crossovers currently experience a slightly steeper initial depreciation curve than Japanese rivals, though this is often offset by the high level of initial features provided at a lower purchase price.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine produces 194 horsepower, providing responsive acceleration for highway merging and overtaking across the Emirates. The front-wheel-drive platform is tuned for road-biased comfort, featuring independent multi-link rear suspension to maintain stability on varied road surfaces. While not intended for heavy off-roading, its 160 mm ground clearance is sufficient for navigating light gravel paths and urban obstacles during weekend outings.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around a 'library-level' quietness claim, utilizing acoustic insulation to reduce road noise on high-speed desert highways. A key highlight for the GCC climate is the ventilated seat function, paired with a dual-zone climate control system that includes dedicated rear air vents. The interior also features a unique cooled centre armrest cubby, perfect for keeping beverages chilled during the peak summer months.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Lane Departure Warning, which are particularly valuable for fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The standard 360-degree panoramic camera includes a 'transparent chassis' view, assisting with parking in tight urban spaces. Active safety is further bolstered by Automatic Emergency Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, ensuring high levels of protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the tech-savvy buyer seeking a current-model-year SUV with a premium feature set and striking looks, this Dashing Luxury is a highly rational choice that undercuts established rivals on price without sacrificing cabin quality.
