Summary

This 2024 Jetour Dashing is a modern crossover that balances futuristic styling with practical urban performance. Despite being a newer brand in the GCC, it has rapidly gained popularity for offering premium cabin technology at a more accessible price point than its Japanese rivals. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the UAE, helping to mitigate the standard depreciation seen in this segment. With 79,000 km, this unit has been driven more than the average for its age, but it remains a compelling choice for those seeking a feature-rich daily driver with high-tech amenities. It serves as a strong alternative for families who want the look of a luxury vehicle without the luxury maintenance costs.

This Car vs Other 2024 Dashing s

While 79,000 km is above the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, it reflects a vehicle that has been regularly utilized for long-distance commuting, likely between Emirates. The Glacier White paint is a significant asset in the local market, ensuring the best possible heat reflection during summer and holding its value better than darker alternatives. Buyers should view this mileage as an opportunity to secure a 2024 model at a more competitive entry point compared to garage-kept examples.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim serves as a well-balanced mid-tier option, providing essential upgrades over the base variant that are highly valued by local drivers. It typically includes a large 12.8-inch touchscreen and synthetic leather seating, providing a more premium feel than entry-level fabric interiors. This trim also standardizes critical driver aids like cruise control and a rear-view camera, which are necessary for navigating the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE.

Dashing vs Segment Rivals

The Dashing competes directly with the Toyota Corolla Cross and MG HS, leading its segment in wheelbase length at 2,720 mm, which translates to superior rear legroom. Its futuristic 'minimalist' cabin design offers a more digital-forward experience than the conservative interiors of Japanese rivals. While rivals may offer better brand recognition, the Dashing provides a significantly higher level of standard tech and safety features for the same budget.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5L turbo engine typically averages around 8.5 to 9.7 L/100 km in mixed GCC driving, depending on AC usage during peak summer. Jetour has established a growing authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering a competitive 10-year or one-million-kilometer engine warranty to first owners, which bolsters buyer confidence. While initial depreciation is steeper than Toyota or Nissan, the 2024 model maintains roughly 70% of its value after the first year, making it a stable asset in the Chinese SUV category.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine, this Dashing produces a steady output suitable for city agility and efficient highway cruising with a top speed of 180 km/h. The 160 mm ground clearance allows it to handle urban speed bumps and gravel paths with ease, though it is primarily designed for paved road comfort. Selective driving modes, including Eco and Sport, allow you to prioritize fuel savings during city traffic or sharper throttle response for highway overtaking.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by its library-level quietness, achieved through a 36Db silent cabin design that insulates passengers from GCC traffic noise. The 5-seater layout provides a spacious 486-liter boot, expandable to 977 liters for family road trips or large shopping hauls. High-quality synthetic leather and rear cooling vents ensure passenger comfort is maintained even when temperatures exceed 45°C, making it a reliable sanctuary during the harsh regional summer.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with a suite of active and passive systems including multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Traction Control to maintain grip on sandy or rain-slicked surfaces. Standard features like Hill Start Assist and Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPMS) provide extra peace of mind for daily driving. The inclusion of Rear Parking Sensors and a High-Definition Rear Camera makes navigating tight parking spots in Dubai or Abu Dhabi significantly safer and more convenient.

The bottom line

This 2024 Dashing is ideal for tech-savvy buyers who want a stylish, late-model SUV with a white-on-black color scheme that maximizes GCC resale potential. It offers the best balance of modern design and utility for an urban commuter looking to step into a 2024 model year vehicle today.
