Summary

This 2024 Kia Seltos LX is a standout choice for those seeking a modern, low-mileage crossover that balances fuel efficiency with daily practicality. Finished in Grey, a color known for maintaining high resale value in the GCC, this vehicle offers a refreshed 2024 design including an updated grille and rear light bar. While rivals like the Hyundai Creta or Nissan Kicks are popular, the Seltos is often preferred for its superior cabin space and refined interior layout. With its efficient 1.6L engine and front-wheel-drive setup, it is perfectly suited for navigating the stop-start traffic of major cities like Dubai and Riyadh while remaining comfortable on cross-country drives.

This Car vs Other 2024 Seltoss

With 38,000 km on the odometer, this Seltos is within the average usage range for a 2024 model in the GCC, where annual driving typically reaches 25,000 km. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the local market, offering better heat reflection than darker tones and maintaining a stronger resale position. Choosing a 2024 model ensures you benefit from the mid-cycle refresh, which included significant aesthetic and technology updates over previous years.

LX vs Lower Trims

As the starting point for the 2024 lineup, the LX trim focuses on delivering essential modern tech without unnecessary complexity. It features a crisp 8-inch touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring seamless smartphone integration for navigation and media. Compared to older base models, this trim includes 17-inch alloy wheels and a 4.2-inch digital driver display that provides a much more premium feel behind the wheel.

Seltos vs Segment Rivals

The Seltos competes directly with the Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks, leading the segment in interior volume and cargo flexibility. While the Kicks is often praised for its compact footprint, the Seltos offers more generous rear legroom, making it a better fit for families. Additionally, the 1.6L powertrain is widely regarded as a more durable option for the high ambient temperatures of the GCC compared to some smaller turbocharged competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a major highlight, with a manufacturer-official 6.0 L/100km combined rating that keeps daily commuting costs low. Being a GCC spec vehicle, it benefits from Kia's massive regional service network, including Al Majid in the UAE and Al Jabar in Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are always readily available. Resale remains stable for the Seltos, typically depreciating at a slower rate of 10-12% annually compared to its European counterparts in the same class.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6L four-cylinder engine delivers a smooth 123 hp, specifically tuned for efficient city driving and steady highway cruising. While it is a front-wheel-drive crossover, the 190mm ground clearance is more than sufficient for handling gravel roads or high speed bumps found throughout the region. The automatic transmission is geared for comfort, ensuring a relaxed experience during the long commutes between Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Seltos is remarkably spacious for a subcompact SUV, offering 433 litres of boot space that expands significantly with the 60:40 split rear seats folded. The air conditioning is specifically designed for the desert climate, providing powerful cooling even during peak summer months. Dedicated rear vents ensure all five passengers remain comfortable, while the Grey exterior helps keep cabin temperatures manageable when parked in the sun.

Safety

Standard safety for the LX trim includes essential features like a high-resolution rearview camera, Hill-Start Assist, and multiple airbags to protect all occupants. It also features electronic stability control and ABS, providing confidence during sudden weather changes or on sand-dusted highways. The 2024 chassis is built with high-strength steel, contributing to a solid safety foundation that rivals anything else in the subcompact crossover segment.

The bottom line

For a buyer looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient crossover that still feels new, this low-mileage 2024 Seltos LX offers the perfect balance of modern tech and long-term value retention in the GCC market.
