Summary

This 2024 Mazda 6 Core offers a refined Japanese driving experience with mileage that reflects a single year of consistent highway use across the Emirates. Finished in Beige, a neutral shade with steady demand in the local market, this sedan balances executive presence with everyday practicality. It remains a standout in the mid-size segment for its premium interior materials and engaging driving dynamics that feel more expensive than its price point suggests. For the GCC buyer, the combination of a fuel-efficient 2.5L powertrain and high-speed highway stability makes it an ideal commuter between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This Car vs Other 2024 Mazda 6s

With 90,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 25,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting it was primarily used for long-distance highway travel. Such mileage often indicates the engine has reached optimal operating temperatures consistently, which is preferable to the wear of short, stop-start city trips. The Beige exterior is a practical choice for the region, showing less dust and heat than darker tones while maintaining stable resale interest.

CORE vs Lower Trims

As a primary mid-level offering in the GCC, the Core trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base Pure trim. It introduces essential regional comforts like dual-zone automatic climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. You also benefit from enhanced technology including an 8-inch Mazda Connect infotainment screen with smartphone integration, which is a major draw for modern UAE drivers compared to the basic audio units in entry-level versions.

Mazda 6 vs Segment Rivals

The Mazda 6 leads rivals like the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima in cabin refinement, offering a driver-centric cockpit that utilizes soft-touch materials usually reserved for luxury brands. While the Camry focuses on utility, the Mazda 6 provides a 62-liter fuel tank paired with superior chassis tuning, making it the preferred choice for those who value steering precision on long desert roads. Its 2.5L Skyactiv engine provides a more linear power delivery than the CVT-based competitors in this class.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is highly competitive, averaging 6.8 L/100km, which helps manage costs during high-mileage commuting. Mazda enjoys an extensive service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia via authorized distributors like Al-Futtaim and Galadari, ensuring parts are always accessible. While European sedans in this bracket face steeper depreciation, the Mazda 6 holds value well, typically retaining 60-65% of its price after three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5L Skyactiv-G engine produces 190 hp and 252 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 8.1 seconds. This performance is perfectly suited for overtaking on fast-moving UAE motorways where maintaining pace is essential. The 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, providing a more connected feel than the rubber-band effect often found in the segment's common CVT gearboxes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five occupants with a focus on high-speed refinement and heat insulation. The powerful GCC-spec air conditioning system is supplemented by rear cooling vents, ensuring all passengers stay comfortable during the peak of summer. High-quality cloth upholstery provides a cooler seating surface than leather in extreme heat, while the 429-liter boot offers ample space for family airport runs or weekly groceries.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of this generation, which holds a 5-star rating from major global bodies like ANCAP. Standard features on the Core trim include six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, and Traction Control, which are vital for maintaining grip on sandy or rain-slicked roads. It also features a rear-view camera and parking sensors to make navigating tight urban parking in Dubai or Riyadh effortless.

The bottom line

This Mazda 6 is a high-mileage, late-model opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, reliable executive sedan that has already cleared its steepest depreciation curve. It is the perfect fit for a professional who needs a refined highway cruiser with the backing of a massive regional service network.
