Mazda CX-3 GT

• 11.4 m turning circle
• 6.5 L/100km combined fuel economy

Summary

This 2024 Mazda CX-3 GT is a standout find in the GCC market, offering exceptionally low mileage for its age compared to the typical 25,000 km annual average seen locally. Finished in Grey—a top-tier resale color in the UAE—this sub-compact SUV balances premium Japanese engineering with urban practicality. As the highest trim available, the GT provides the cabin technology and safety features that GCC buyers prioritize for daily commutes. It offers a sharper, more engaging drive than its rivals, making it the ideal choice for those who want SUV styling without the bulk. With its current mileage and model year, it represents a significant saving over a new showroom model while retaining its mechanical freshness.

This Car vs Other 2024 CX-3s

At just 26,000 km, this CX-3 has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km typical for a single year of use in the UAE and wider GCC. While many 2024 models on the market are already approaching their second major service interval, this example remains in its early ownership phase. The Grey exterior is one of the most sought-after colors for resale in the region, ensuring it will hold its value better than more niche shades.

GT vs Lower Trims

The GT trim is the definitive choice for GCC buyers, adding high-value features like 18-inch machined alloy wheels and advanced LED lighting that the base models lack. Inside, it replaces basic cloth with a premium leather and suede upholstery mix, perfectly suited for the regional climate. It also includes the full ADAS safety suite and a head-up display, features that are often optional or missing on lower GS variants.

CX-3 vs Segment Rivals

The CX-3 leads the sub-compact segment—including rivals like the Nissan Kicks and Mitsubishi ASX—with its superior driving dynamics and interior material quality. Its 2.0L engine provides 145 hp, offering more confident highway overtaking than the smaller-displacement engines found in many competitors. While rivals focus on sheer volume, the Mazda offers a more premium, 'Jinba Ittai' driver-centric experience that is rare in this price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Mazda maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, making long-term maintenance straightforward. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 6.5 L/100km, performing efficiently in stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km in the GCC to account for high summer temperatures. The CX-3 enjoys strong value retention, typically depreciating at a lower rate than European sub-compact crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L Skyactiv-G engine delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 8.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest naturally aspirated cars in its class. Its All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system provides added stability during the occasional UAE rain shower or when navigating gravel paths on weekend escapes. The 11.4 m turning circle is a genuine advantage for tight parking in Downtown Dubai or navigating busy urban districts. Top speed is officially rated at 190 km/h, ensuring comfortable cruising on long inter-emirate highways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring a 7-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay to keep you connected. The GT's automatic climate control is specifically tuned to handle 45°C+ summer peaks, cooling the compact cabin rapidly. High-quality insulation keeps road noise at a minimum during long highway drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. While compact, the 264-litre boot is perfectly sized for daily errands and weekend shopping trips.

Safety

This GT trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for the fast-moving multi-lane traffic of the GCC. It features six airbags and Smart City Brake Support (AEB) with pedestrian detection. The inclusion of Lane Departure Warning and a Rear-View Camera provides the driver with full situational awareness, a standard of protection that exceeds many entry-level rivals.

The bottom line

This is the perfect opportunity for a young professional or small family looking for a nearly-new, high-spec Japanese SUV with low mileage and excellent resale potential in the GCC market.
