Summary

This 2024 AMG GT 63 represents the sharpest edge of modern German performance, offering a significant power jump over the standard GT 55 with its hand-assembled V8. At just 2 years old and with 26,000 km, this European-spec coupe sits at a sweet spot for GCC buyers who want the latest generation's improved 2+2 practicality without the immediate depreciation of a showroom-fresh car. The grey exterior is a highly desirable, high-resale choice for the UAE market, perfectly masking desert dust while maintaining an executive presence. Compared to its predecessor, this model offers a much more refined ride and usable interior space, making it a viable grand tourer for long cross-border drives. For a buyer in the GCC, this listing provides access to top-tier AMG performance in a configuration that balances daily usability with track-ready dynamics.

This Car vs Other 2024 AMG GTs

With 26,000 km over 2 years, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the typical weekend-only supercar but remains well within the expected range for a high-performance daily driver in the GCC. The European regional spec offers the same mechanical heart as local units, though buyers should verify service history to ensure maintenance has been adapted for high-ambient temperatures. The grey finish is among the most sought-after colors for premium coupes in the region, ensuring better value retention than more eccentric shades.

63 vs Lower Trims

The 63 trim is a major mechanical step up from the GT 55, increasing output to 577 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Crucially for the GCC, this trim standardizes the active ride control suspension with roll stabilization, which significantly improves comfort on uneven highway surfaces. It also adds standard ventilated AMG performance seats, a feature that transitions from a luxury to a necessity during the intense summer months in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

AMG GT vs Segment Rivals

The AMG GT 63 competes directly with the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Aston Martin Vantage. It leads the segment in daily practicality thanks to a larger 321-litre boot (expandable to 675 litres) and a more advanced infotainment system that excels in navigation across the expanding GCC road network. While the 911 is often considered the benchmark for pure agility, the AMG GT offers a more muscular V8 character and superior high-speed cruising stability for long-distance desert travel.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 4.0L V8 typically averages 14.1 L/100km, though this can rise in the stop-start traffic of Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, and Mercedes-Benz maintains a dominant authorized service footprint across all major GCC cities, ensuring easy access to specialized AMG technicians. As a European-spec vehicle, it may not carry the same local agency warranty as a GCC-spec unit, but its depreciation is generally offset by the lower initial acquisition cost and strong demand for the latest body style.

Performance & Capability

The headline 3.2-second sprint to 100 km/h is facilitated by a sophisticated 9-speed multi-clutch transmission that provides instant response for highway overtaking. Even with rear-wheel drive, the advanced electronic limited-slip differential ensures maximum traction on sandy or sun-slicked tarmac. This generation's active aerodynamics, including the retractable rear spoiler, automatically adjust to provide stability during high-speed drives between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features a 2+2 seating configuration, making it far more versatile for small families or extra luggage compared to the previous two-seat GT. The cabin is centered around a portrait-oriented 11.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital cluster, providing crisp visibility even in the bright GCC sun. Standard acoustic glass and heavy-duty climate control ensure the cabin remains a cool, quiet sanctuary despite external temperatures exceeding 45°C.

Safety

This AMG GT 63 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Pre-Safe technology, active brake assist, and blind-spot monitoring, which is essential for multi-lane highway driving in the region. The standard 360-degree camera system makes maneuvering this wide-shouldered coupe into tight mall parking spaces effortless. Additionally, the active rear-axle steering enhances stability during emergency maneuvers at high speeds, a critical safety feature for regional highway conditions.

The bottom line

For the performance enthusiast, this 2024 AMG GT 63 offers the perfect blend of supercar acceleration and grand touring comfort in the region's most popular color. It is an ideal opportunity to own the current flagship generation with a hand-built V8 engine that is becoming increasingly rare.
