Summary

This 2024 Mercedes-Maybach S 580 represents the absolute pinnacle of the executive sedan archetype, offering a wheelbase extended by 180mm over the standard S-Class for unrivaled rear-cabin comfort. With just 15,000 km, it is significantly below the typical GCC annual mileage of 25,000 km, making it a rare find in the pre-owned market. The black exterior is the most sought-after color for executive transport in the region, ensuring maximum presence and strong future resale demand. While it competes with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce, the Maybach stands out with its superior MBUX tech integration and refined 48V mild-hybrid V8. For the serious buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this listing offers a near-new experience with the heavy initial depreciation already absorbed.

This Car vs Other 2024 S 580s

While most 2024 executive sedans in the GCC have already surpassed the 25,000 km mark, this example remains in near-showroom condition with only 15,000 km. The black-on-black configuration is a high-demand specification in the local market, offering a safer investment for value retention compared to more niche color palettes.

MAYBACH vs Lower Trims

The Maybach trim transforms the S 580 from a premium sedan into a mobile lounge, adding the Chauffeur Package, executive rear seating with leg rests, and active road noise compensation as standard. It also features a unique waterfall grille and extended rear doors that are not available on the standard S-Class, specifically designed for those who prefer to be driven.

S 580 vs Segment Rivals

The Maybach S 580 competes directly with the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost. It leads the segment in cabin technology with its augmented reality head-up display and sophisticated 4D sound system, while the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides superior stability on high-speed GCC highways compared to rear-drive-only luxury rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 11.2 L/100km on a combined cycle, which is efficient for a car of this stature thanks to its mild-hybrid assistance. Maintenance is managed through Mercedes-Benz’s extensive GCC authorized service network, with major intervals typically every 15,000 km. While flagship luxury sedans experience sharp initial depreciation, the Maybach sub-brand historically retains roughly 5-7% more value than the standard S-Class at the 3-year mark in the UAE market.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L biturbo V8 delivers 503 hp and 700 Nm of torque, enabling a verified 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.8 seconds. This power is delivered through a seamless 9G-TRONIC transmission, ensuring effortless overtaking and high-speed cruising across emirates. The standard AIRMATIC air suspension and rear-axle steering make this 5.4-meter-long sedan surprisingly agile in tight city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary featuring five seats, with the rear featuring ventilated, heated, and massaging executive chairs. A quad-zone climate control system is specifically engineered to combat the 45°C+ GCC summers, ensuring the cabin remains chilled even in direct sunlight. Acoustic laminated glass and active noise cancellation create a nearly silent environment, ideal for long cross-border journeys.

Safety

This Maybach is equipped with a full ADAS suite including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist, and Evasive Steering Assist. Exclusive to the Maybach are rear-seat frontal airbags and PRE-SAFE Impulse Side, which raises the car body via the air suspension just before a side impact to protect passengers. The 360° camera system with 3D views makes parking and navigating the vehicle effortless in urban environments.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for an executive or family seeking the ultimate in rear-seat luxury without the waitlist of a new factory order, benefitting from a high-resale color and exceptionally low mileage.
