Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol Super Safari is the definitive choice for enthusiasts who demand the mechanical purity of a manual transmission. As a brand-new GCC spec vehicle in black, it occupies a high-demand niche in the local market where manual VTC models are prized for their durability and customisation potential. The Super Safari trim adds essential comfort features that transform this rugged off-roader into a capable daily driver, balancing legendary Y61 capability with modern cabin refinements. For the GCC buyer, this represents the final opportunity to own a factory-new iteration of an automotive icon known for conquering the region's most challenging dunes.

This Car vs Other 2024 Nissan Patrols

While most modern Patrols have transitioned to the more road-biased Y62 platform, this Y61 Super Safari remains the preferred choice for dedicated off-roaders. With zero kilometres, this listing avoids the heavy desert wear often found on used Safaris, and its black exterior ensures strong resale demand across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. In a market dominated by automatics, the factory manual transmission makes this a standout opportunity for purists.

SUPER SAFARI vs Lower Trims

The Super Safari trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the Safari and GL variants by adding premium tan leather upholstery with unique embossing and a built-in refrigerated cool box. It also includes a sunroof, navigation, and a wireless charger—features that provide essential comfort during long cross-border drives. Visually, it is distinguished by the iconic Super Safari body graphics and machine-cut 18-inch alloy wheels that are highly valued in the GCC used market.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

This model primarily competes with the Toyota Land Cruiser 70-series, leading the segment in cabin comfort and high-speed highway stability thanks to its coil-spring suspension. Unlike the more spartan Land Cruiser 76, the Super Safari offers a more refined interior with wood-grain accents and automatic climate control without sacrificing off-road geometry. Its 4.8-litre VTC engine is widely regarded as one of the most reliable powertrains for extreme heat and sand driving.

Running Costs & Resale

The Patrol Super Safari is famous for its exceptional value retention in the GCC, often depreciating at just 8-10% annually due to its cult status. While the 4.8L engine is thirsty in stop-start city traffic, its massive 135-litre dual fuel tank system is specifically designed for long-distance desert exploration and trans-emirate hauls. Parts are readily available at every corner of the GCC, ensuring low long-term maintenance costs and minimal downtime.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 280 hp and 451 Nm of torque, the 4.8L VTC engine is engineered for low-end grunt, allowing it to climb the tallest dunes in Liwa with ease. The manual gearbox provides direct control over the power band, which is critical when navigating soft sand or towing heavy loads. Its heavy-duty 4WD system, featuring a rear locking differential and a dedicated low-range transfer case, provides the mechanical hardware necessary for serious overland expeditions.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is tailored for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful air conditioning system and a factory-fitted refrigerator to keep drinks cold during the summer months. The five-seat configuration offers a massive boot area for camping gear, while the acoustic insulation provides a surprisingly quiet ride on the highway for a body-on-frame vehicle. Premium leather seating and a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay ensure that modern connectivity is always within reach.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes dual front SRS airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) to maintain stability on loose sand and gravel. This trim also features a tyre pressure monitoring system and rear parking sensors with a camera, which are essential for navigating a vehicle of this size in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

For the purist collector or the serious desert adventurer, this manual Super Safari is the ultimate expression of Nissan's off-road heritage, offering unmatched reliability and a high-spec cabin in a brand-new package.
