Summary

This GCC-spec 2024 model represents a significant generational leap for the SUV, offering a modernized cabin and refined driving dynamics. With mileage just under 20,000 km, this vehicle is well-positioned below the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, ensuring plenty of life in its factory warranty. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, masking desert dust effectively while maintaining strong resale appeal. It stands out in its segment for its balanced fuel economy and ease of maintenance, making it a reliable partner for both city commutes and weekend highway trips between Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2024 X-Trails

With just 19,161 km on the odometer, this X-Trail has been driven less than the regional average of 20,000–25,000 km per year, making it a low-mileage standout in the used market. The Grey finish is a smart choice for the UAE climate, providing excellent heat rejection and holding its value better than more niche colors at trade-in. Its mechanical condition remains close to new, benefitting from the longevity typical of Japanese-engineered powertrains in the GCC.

S vs Lower Trims

As the foundational grade of the new T33 generation, the S trim provides a high standard of essentials including LED headlights and the Intelligent Key with push-button start. It features a modern 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration that is often missing from basic fleet-spec rivals. Choosing this over older entry-level models ensures you get the latest chassis improvements and a significantly higher-quality fabric interior.

X-Trail vs Segment Rivals

The X-Trail leads key competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V in terms of cargo versatility, offering a generous 550-liter boot that is easier to load thanks to a low floor height. Its 2.5-liter engine is specifically tuned for durability in extreme heat, a historical advantage Nissan holds over turbocharged rivals in the region. The extensive dealership network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures that spare parts are more affordable and accessible than those for European crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.5L FWD variant averages around 6.2 L/100km on the highway, making it one of the most efficient non-hybrid SUVs for long-distance GCC commutes. Nissan’s authorized service centers are ubiquitous across the region, with minor service intervals every 10,000 km keeping maintenance predictable. The X-Trail traditionally retains 60–70% of its value over three years, significantly outperforming American-spec counterparts in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 181 hp engine delivers smooth, linear power through a refined CVT, which is ideal for the steady speeds of the E11 highway. Its 210 mm ground clearance provides peace of mind when navigating gravel tracks or uneven parking areas common in developing suburban communities. While optimized for fuel-saving front-wheel drive, the suspension is tuned to remain composed under the heavy air-conditioning loads required during peak GCC summers.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat layout provides class-leading legroom for rear passengers, along with dedicated rear AC vents that are essential for passenger comfort in 45°C+ heat. The cabin is well-insulated against road noise, creating a quiet environment for long drives between cities. Quality fabric seats are utilized to stay cooler than leather in the direct sun, and the 60:40 split-folding rear bench allows for flexible storage of larger family items.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a full set of front, side, and curtain airbags as standard. Standard electronic aids such as Hill Start Assist and Vehicle Dynamic Control provide critical stability on the sandy or dusty surfaces often encountered in the region. The inclusion of rear parking sensors and a high-resolution display makes navigating tight urban parking spots in Dubai or Riyadh significantly safer.

The bottom line

This is a perfect opportunity for a small family or professional seeking a near-new, low-mileage SUV that is fully optimized for the GCC environment and carries the region's best service support.
