Summary

This 2024 Peugeot 3008 Active offers a distinctive European alternative to the typical crossover segment, combining high-tech cabin design with efficient turbocharged performance. With its low mileage for the model year and striking Blue exterior, it represents a sharp choice for professionals or small families in the GCC. The 1.6-litre turbo engine provides a punchy 165 hp, ensuring confident highway overtaking between Emirates. As a recent model year with a clean GCC specification, it benefits from strong parts availability and a growing regional service network. It is a stylish, modern SUV that feels more premium than its price point suggests.

This Car vs Other 2024 3008s

At just under 60,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is slightly above the typical annual average for the UAE market, yet it remains mechanically fresh for a 2024 model. The Blue exterior is a refreshing change from the common white and silver fleet, often aiding in quicker resale to private buyers who value individuality. In the GCC market, a 2024 model year car like this often offers the best balance of modern tech and remaining manufacturer-backed confidence.

Active vs Lower Trims

The Active trim serves as the entry point but is far from basic, featuring the signature 12.3-inch digital i-Cockpit that many rivals only offer on top-spec variants. It includes essential GCC features like a high-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto as standard. While higher trims add a sunroof or leather, the Active trim focuses on the core Peugeot driving experience with the same 165 hp turbocharged powertrain found across the range.

3008 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V, the Peugeot 3008 leads with its avant-garde interior design and more compact, city-friendly dimensions. While rivals often opt for larger naturally aspirated engines, Peugeot's 1.6-litre turbo delivers higher torque at lower RPMs, making it feel more responsive in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Its European suspension tuning also offers a more composed and engaging highway ride than its softer Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.6T engine typically averages between 7.0 to 8.5 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km or 12 months, and Peugeot has a well-established authorized service presence across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While European crossovers traditionally depreciate faster than Japanese brands, the 3008 maintains a loyal following in the UAE, resulting in a predictable and stable resale curve for GCC-spec models.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6-litre turbocharged engine produces 165 hp and 240 Nm of torque, allowing for a brisk 0–100 km/h time of 8.9 seconds. This performance is ideal for the fast-moving highways of the region, providing ample power even when the vehicle is fully loaded. While strictly a front-wheel-drive crossover, its 219 mm ground clearance is excellent for navigating gravel tracks or unpaved urban areas comfortably.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the innovative i-Cockpit, featuring a small-diameter steering wheel and a high-mounted digital display that keeps your eyes on the road. Dual-zone climate control is standard and engineered to handle peak summer temperatures, supplemented by dedicated rear air vents to keep all five passengers cool. The 520-litre boot is surprisingly deep, expanding significantly with the flat-folding rear seats for weekend road trips.

Safety

Safety is a priority with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and Emergency Brake Assist standard on this trim. The 3008 holds a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, providing peace of mind for family use. Standard cruise control and a speed limiter help manage long highway stretches, while ISOFIX points in the rear ensure child seats are securely anchored.

The bottom line

This 2024 3008 Active is the perfect match for a buyer who wants European flair and modern tech in a practical, GCC-ready SUV without the premium price tag of a luxury brand.
