Peugeot Expert COMBI L3

Highlights

• 1,330 kg maximum payload
• 1,237 litres boot space in L3 configuration
• 17 km/L combined fuel economy

Summary

This 2024 Peugeot Expert Combi L3 is a highly efficient choice for business logistics, offering a rare balance of high payload and impressive diesel economy. As the extended L3 variant, it provides the maximum possible load length in the Expert range, making it ideal for transporting long materials or larger inventories across the Emirates. The automatic transmission and GCC-spec cooling system make it a reliable partner for daily operations in stop-start traffic and high summer temperatures. With extremely low mileage for its age, this van offers essentially new-vehicle durability at a used-market advantage. Its White exterior is the preferred choice for GCC commercial resale, ensuring strong value retention when it's time to upgrade.

This Car vs Other 2024 Experts

With only 6,300 km on the odometer, this Expert is significantly below the average annual use for GCC commercial vehicles, which typically cover 25,000 km or more. This low mileage means the powertrain and suspension have experienced minimal wear compared to high-cycle fleet units. The White exterior is not just practical for heat reflection but remains the highest-demand color for resale in the local used van market.

COMBI L3 vs Lower Trims

The L3 trim is the longest body style available, adding significant rear overhang to maximize internal volume to 6.1 cubic meters in panel configuration. Over the standard L2, this L3 trim provides a much longer load floor while maintaining a similar wheelbase for predictable handling. The inclusion of the 8-speed automatic transmission is a major upgrade for driver comfort during long inter-city drives compared to the manual base models.

Expert vs Segment Rivals

The Expert leads rivals like the Toyota Hiace and Nissan Urvan in fuel efficiency, leveraging a modern turbo-diesel engine that averages roughly 17 km per litre. Its car-like driving position and lower roof height allow it to enter many multi-story car parks in Dubai and Abu Dhabi that larger vans cannot access. While competitors often use older-tech engines, the Peugeot offers a more refined, tech-forward cabin for the modern professional.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is a standout at 5.8 to 7.1 L/100km depending on load, significantly reducing monthly overheads for GCC businesses. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and Peugeot’s authorized service network is well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As a 2024 model with low mileage, it follows a shallow depreciation curve, benefiting from the strong local trust in GCC-spec diesel workhorses.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbo-diesel produces a robust 370 Nm of torque, which is critical for maintaining highway speeds when carrying a full 1,330 kg payload. The 8-speed automatic gearbox is tuned for the region, providing smooth shifts that help manage engine temperatures during peak summer heat. With its reinforced suspension, the L3 remains stable even when loaded to its maximum gross vehicle weight, making it suitable for long-distance transport between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a practical 3-seat layout designed for ergonomic efficiency during long workdays. The GCC-spec air conditioning is powerful enough to cool the large interior quickly, and the insulated bulkhead helps keep the cabin quiet and vibration-free. Ample storage compartments and a car-like dashboard layout ensure that the driver stays comfortable during extended highway commutes across the GCC.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and ABS to ensure stability on sandy or wet road surfaces. This trim also includes cruise control and a speed limiter, which are essential for avoiding fines on speed-monitored UAE highways. Hill Assist is included as standard, preventing rollback when starting on inclines with a heavy load.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a UAE business owner to secure a nearly-new, long-wheelbase workhorse that offers better fuel efficiency and cargo volume than its primary rivals.
