Summary

This 2-year-old 718 Boxster Style Edition is a standout find in the GCC market, offering exceptionally low mileage for its age. While most performance cars in the region see higher highway use, this example has been driven sparingly, preserving its mechanical freshness. The Style Edition trim adds a layer of visual exclusivity and standard equipment that holds its value better than base models in the local used market. As a mid-engine roadster, it offers a level of balance and steering precision that few rivals can match, making it ideal for the UAE's well-maintained mountain passes and coastal roads. For a GCC buyer, the combination of Porsche's legendary reliability and the cooling efficiency of this modern turbocharged unit ensures a trouble-free ownership experience even in peak summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2024 718 Boxsters

With just 7,148 km on the odometer, this vehicle's mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average for a 2-year-old car, which typically sees 20,000–25,000 km annually. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after neutral tone in the regional market, ensuring faster resale and better price retention compared to more niche colors. This low-usage history makes it one of the most mechanically pristine 2024 models currently available in the region.

Style Edition vs Lower Trims

The Style Edition serves as a premium enhancement over the base 718, adding 20-inch wheels and unique exterior graphics that provide significantly more road presence. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with a heated leather multifunction steering wheel, illuminated stainless steel door sills, and the Porsche Crest embossed on the headrests as standard. These high-touch features are particularly valued by GCC buyers who prioritize cabin aesthetics and premium finishes.

718 Boxster vs Segment Rivals

The 718 Boxster is frequently cross-shopped with the BMW Z4 and Jaguar F-Type, but its mid-engine layout gives it a definitive edge in chassis balance and handling agility. While front-engine rivals may offer more trunk space, the Porsche provides a dual-trunk configuration (front and rear) that is surprisingly practical for weekend trips. Its 2.0-litre flat-four is also more efficient for city commuting in Dubai or Riyadh compared to the heavier six-cylinder engines found in some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this powertrain averages around 9.2 L/100km, making it one of the most efficient sports cars in its class for long-distance GCC highway drives. Porsche maintains a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and expert maintenance are never out of reach. In the GCC market, the 718 Boxster typically experiences a depreciation of approximately 12–15% annually, outperforming many European luxury rivals in value retention at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 300 hp turbocharged engine delivers an immediate 380 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking and a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.7 seconds when utilizing the PDK's launch control. The seven-speed automatic transmission is perfectly tuned for the GCC's mix of stop-start city traffic and high-speed interstate cruising. Despite its low-slung profile, the 718 is engineered for daily usability with a suspension that handles urban speed bumps with more composure than a dedicated supercar.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is focused yet comfortable, featuring dual-zone automatic climate control that is well-regarded for its ability to pull down cabin temperatures quickly in the desert heat. Standard heated seats and a heated steering wheel offer comfort during cooler winter mornings, while the acoustic fabric top provides impressive insulation from wind noise at highway speeds. The integrated Apple CarPlay and premium leather surfaces ensure a modern and tactile environment for both short sprints and long-distance travel.

Safety

This Style Edition comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including ParkAssist with front and rear sensors and an integrated rearview camera for easier maneuvering in tight city spaces. The 718's high-performance braking system and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) provide a crucial safety net for maintaining traction on sandy or dusty road surfaces. Standard Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights ensure maximum visibility during unlit desert highway stretches at night.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a near-new Porsche 718 Boxster Style Edition with exceptionally low mileage, offering a significant saving over a new showroom model without sacrificing the manufacturer-fresh feel. It is the perfect choice for a GCC enthusiast looking for a daily-drivable sports car that balances iconic design with proven regional reliability.
