Summary

This 2024 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS represents the cutting edge of the 992.2 generation, featuring the revolutionary T-Hybrid powertrain that offers instant torque and unmatched responsiveness. With only 7,000 km, this vehicle is barely past its break-in period and presents a significant buying advantage over waiting for a factory order. The black-on-black color scheme is arguably the most sought-after combination in the GCC, ensuring maximum resale liquidity. Unlike its rivals, the Targa 4 GTS perfectly balances high-performance track-bred hardware with a unique open-top experience suitable for the UAE's winter driving season. For a GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the advanced cooling system redesigned specifically to manage the thermal demands of this new high-output hybrid setup.

This Car vs Other 2024 911s

With just 7,000 km, this 911 has seen significantly lower usage than the typical 20,000 km annual average for sports cars in the GCC. While many 2024 models are the outgoing 992.1 version, this unit features the 3.6-litre T-Hybrid engine, placing it in a higher tier of modern performance and future-proofing. The black exterior is the strongest resale color in the local market, making this specific listing a safer long-term asset.

TARGA 4GTS vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the GTS trim adds essential performance hardware as standard, including the PASM sport suspension with a 10mm lower ride height and the Sport Chrono package with integrated mode switches. This trim also introduces the T-Hybrid system, which is unavailable on the Targa 4 or 4S, providing a 61 hp boost and an electric turbocharger that eliminates lag. GCC buyers will also appreciate the standard Sport Exhaust and the more aggressive GTS-specific interior styling.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The 911 Targa 4 GTS leads rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GT and Maserati GranCabrio with its unique semi-convertible roof system, offering better structural rigidity and highway refinement. Its 3.6-litre hybrid engine provides more immediate torque for city overtaking in Dubai or Riyadh traffic compared to traditional twin-turbo competitors. Additionally, Porsche's AWD system remains the gold standard for high-speed stability on the long highways connecting the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the T-Hybrid is approximately 10.8 L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC stop-start traffic may see higher figures due to heavy A/C load. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized Porsche Centers, which are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Historically, the 911 GTS holds its value exceptionally well in the GCC, with 3-year residual values often exceeding 75%, outperforming almost every other luxury sports car in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 3.1-second 0–100 km/h time is delivered with surgical precision thanks to the integrated electric motor in the 8-speed PDK transmission. The new electric turbocharger extracts energy from exhaust gases to feed the 400V high-voltage system, ensuring full power is available even during high-temperature summer drives. With standard four-wheel drive and rear-axle steering, the Targa 4 GTS remains remarkably composed during high-speed highway cruising or spirited drives through the Jebel Jais mountain passes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features the updated 992.2 digital cockpit, focusing on driver-centric controls and high-quality insulation that keeps the interior cool even when the Targa bar is exposed to the GCC sun. Powerful dual-zone climate control and acoustic glass ensure the cabin remains a sanctuary against external heat and road noise. The 4-seat configuration offers practical space for short trips, while the premium materials used in the GTS interior provide a durable yet luxury-focused environment for long-distance touring.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Lane Change Assist and Warn and Brake Assist, which are particularly valuable on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system has been recalibrated for the hybrid torque delivery, providing superior grip on sandy or dusty road surfaces common in the region. The iconic Targa bar acts as a permanent roll-over protection structure, offering safety levels comparable to a hardtop coupe.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who wants the very latest Porsche technology without the two-year waitlist, this low-mileage T-Hybrid Targa is the premier choice in the current UAE market. It combines the highest resale specifications with a powertrain that redefines the modern sports car experience.
