Summary

This 2024 Turbo S Cabriolet represents the flagship of the 992.1 generation, offering a near-perfect balance of daily usability and track-level performance. With only 21,582 km over its 2-year lifespan, this example sits comfortably within the low-mileage category for high-end sports cars in the UAE market. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the GCC, ensuring maximum resale liquidity and timeless aesthetic appeal compared to more niche shades. As a Turbo S, it carries the highest factory equipment level available, shielding it from the steeper depreciation often seen in entry-level Carrera models. For the GCC owner, this is a supercar that handles the extreme summer temperatures with industrial reliability, equally at home on the 140 km/h run to Abu Dhabi as it is on a performance weekend.

This Car vs Other 2024 911s

While typical GCC annual usage often reaches 25,000 km, this Turbo S has covered just over 10,000 km per year, marking it as a well-preserved example. This mileage suggests a vehicle primarily used for leisure or high-end commuting rather than high-frequency daily driving. The black-on-black configuration is highly sought after in the regional used market, consistently commanding faster sales times than brighter alternatives.

TURBO S vs Lower Trims

Moving to the Turbo S over the standard Turbo adds essential performance hardware as standard, including Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). Inside, the cabin is upgraded with 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus and the premium BOSE Surround Sound system, features that are often expensive options on lower tiers. The Turbo S also features unique center-lock wheels, a visual and technical hallmark of Porsche's top-tier engineering.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The Turbo S Cabriolet competes directly with the Ferrari F8 Spider and Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder, leading the segment in daily practicality and all-weather traction. Its advanced all-wheel-drive system provides superior stability on sandy or rain-slicked GCC highways compared to its rear-wheel-drive Italian rivals. Additionally, the Porsche offers a level of cabin refinement and ergonomics that makes it significantly more comfortable for long-distance cross-emirate trips.

Running Costs & Resale

The Turbo S typically experiences an annual depreciation of approximately 12-15% in the UAE, which is remarkably stable for the supercar segment. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or annually, with an extensive network of authorized Porsche Centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensuring easy maintenance. As an American spec vehicle, buyers should verify local service contract compatibility, though parts availability remains excellent throughout the region.

Performance & Capability

With a verified top speed of 330 km/h and a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 2.8 seconds, this is one of the fastest production convertibles in the world. The 8-speed PDK transmission is specifically tuned to handle the 800 Nm of torque, providing lightning-fast shifts that make highway overtaking effortless. Active aerodynamics, including a variable front spoiler and extendable rear wing, ensure the car remains planted even in the crosswinds common on open desert roads.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its performance, the cabin is designed for luxury, featuring two-zone automatic climate control that is highly effective even during the peak GCC summer. The multi-layer fabric roof provides coupe-like acoustic insulation when closed and can be operated at speeds up to 50 km/h. Ventilated seats and a dedicated wind deflector ensure that top-down driving remains comfortable well into the warmer months.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite of systems including Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and standard ceramic brakes that offer fade-free stopping power in all conditions. The Turbo S includes front and rear park assist with a reversing camera, alongside LED Matrix headlights that provide exceptional visibility for night driving on unlit desert highways. Adaptive cruise control and Lane Change Assist further enhance safety during long-distance drives between major GCC cities.

The bottom line

This 2024 Turbo S Cabriolet is the definitive choice for a UAE buyer seeking flagship performance without sacrificing daily comfort. It is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, high-spec example of the final pure-petrol Turbo S generation.
