Summary

This 2024 Land Cruiser VXR offers a near-new ownership experience with just 17,000 km on the clock, placing it well below the average mileage for its age in the GCC. As the premium VXR trim, it provides the ideal balance of high-end luxury and serious off-road capability that regional buyers prioritize for both city presence and desert excursions. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring the vehicle maintains its legendary resale strength. For any buyer looking for the definitive GCC all-rounder, this LC300 combines Toyota's unmatched reliability with the refined power of the new twin-turbocharged powertrain.

This Car vs Other 2024 Land Cruisers

With only 17,000 km, this vehicle has seen significantly less use than the 20,000–25,000 km typically covered annually by GCC drivers. The black exterior finish is one of the most sought-after colors in the local market, providing a distinct advantage for future resale value compared to less traditional shades. Choosing a 2024 model allows you to benefit from the latest 300-series refinements while avoiding the initial depreciation hit of a showroom-fresh unit.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim represents a significant luxury upgrade over the GXR, featuring premium leather upholstery and a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display as standard. GCC-essential features like ventilated front seats and a powered tailgate are standard here, alongside more sophisticated off-road hardware like the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). It also includes the full Toyota Safety Sense suite and a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system that lower trims often lack.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser leads with its modern 10-speed automatic transmission and superior 110-litre fuel capacity, which is essential for long-range desert crossings. While the Land Rover Defender offers a more road-biased ride, the Toyota remains the undisputed leader in long-term reliability and parts availability across every corner of the GCC. Its body-on-frame construction ensures a level of durability in extreme heat that monocoque competitors struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

The Land Cruiser 300 maintains the highest residual value in the GCC, typically retaining over 85% of its value after the first three years. Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V6 averages between 14–16 L/100km in mixed Dubai or Riyadh traffic, offering better efficiency than the outgoing V8 while running on standard Super 98 or Special 95. Toyota's massive authorized service network means maintenance is simple and affordable from Kuwait to Oman, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 produces a verified 409 hp and 650 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.7 seconds. This power is managed by a sophisticated Multi-Terrain Select system that allows the driver to toggle between Sand, Mud, and Rock modes for effortless desert navigation. The 235 mm of ground clearance and standard low-range transfer case ensure this SUV can handle the steepest dunes in Liwa as easily as it cruises Sheikh Zayed Road.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed specifically for the GCC climate, featuring a high-output multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to keep all passengers cool in 45°C+ heat. The VXR trim adds ventilated seating for the front occupants and a integrated refrigerator in the center console for chilled beverages during long drives. Acoustic glass and improved insulation significantly reduce wind noise, making the cabin a quiet sanctuary even at highway speeds.

Safety

The VXR is equipped with the full Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, including Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist which are invaluable for long-distance highway travel. Standard 360-degree cameras and 10 airbags provide comprehensive protection, while specialized systems like Crawl Control and Turn Assist help maintain vehicle stability on unstable sand and gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

This low-mileage VXR is the perfect choice for a family or executive buyer who demands the region's most reliable SUV without the wait times of a new order. It offers the peak of Toyota luxury and capability in a market-preferred color, representing a secure and high-value investment.
