Highlights

• 5.2 L/100km combined fuel economy
• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• Strong value retention in the GCC used market

Summary

This one-year-old Toyota Veloz GX is an exceptional find for families seeking a nearly new 7-seater with the peace of mind of a GCC-spec vehicle. With just 16,000 km, it sits well below the typical annual mileage expected in the region, offering a significant advantage for long-term ownership. The GX trim provides the highest specification available for this model, ensuring modern tech and safety that rivals often charge extra for. Silver is a primary resale color in the GCC market, making this a safe investment that holds its value exceptionally well. For the daily UAE commute or weekend family trips, this crossover strikes the perfect balance between Japanese reliability and class-leading fuel efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2025 Toyota Velozs

At 16,000 km, this Veloz has been driven sparingly compared to the typical 25,000 km annual average for family crossovers in the UAE. The Silver exterior is one of the most sought-after colors for resale in the Middle East, offering better heat reflection and easier maintenance than darker shades. Being a GCC-spec 2025 model, it benefits from full local warranty support and parts availability that imported versions lack.

GX vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier trim, the GX adds premium features that are essential for the GCC climate, including semi-leather seats and a more advanced 7-inch digital cockpit. It also features a larger 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a wireless smartphone charger—features rarely found in the entry-level GL trims. Additionally, the GX is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and ambient lighting, giving it a significantly more premium feel inside and out.

Veloz vs Segment Rivals

The Veloz stands out against the Mitsubishi Xpander and Honda BR-V by offering a more comprehensive safety suite as standard, including six airbags where some rivals offer fewer. Its 1.5L engine is specifically tuned for efficiency, achieving a manufacturer-claimed 19.3 km/L, which outperforms many competitors in stop-start city traffic. While rivals may offer slightly higher ground clearance, the Veloz leads in cabin technology and the sheer density of the Toyota service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the segment, with a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 5.2 L/100km. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by the largest authorized service network in the GCC, ensuring competitive maintenance costs in every emirate. Historically, the Veloz retains about 73% of its value after three years in the UAE market, significantly outpacing European and American counterparts in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine delivers a reliable 105 hp, paired with a smooth CVT that is optimized for fuel savings during long highway cruises between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. While designed for efficiency, the four-wheel-drive system provides added stability on rain-slicked roads or gravel paths during weekend family outings. The 43-litre fuel tank, combined with its high efficiency, allows for impressive range, reducing the frequency of stops on cross-country drives.

Comfort & Cabin

This 7-seater features a highly flexible interior with a 'Long Sofa Mode' that allows seats to fold flat for rest during long trips. For the GCC summer, the roof-mounted rear A/C vents ensure that passengers in the second and third rows stay as cool as those in the front. The cabin is further enhanced by ambient lighting and a quiet ride, making it a comfortable environment for the school run or executive commuting alike.

Safety

The Veloz GX is equipped with a robust safety package including 6 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC). Standard tech like a 360-degree camera and rear parking sensors provide critical assistance in tight urban parking spots. It also features an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, a highly useful feature for the heavy stop-start traffic commonly found in Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a UAE family to secure a top-spec, low-mileage 2025 Veloz that effectively bridges the gap between a new car and a used bargain.
