Summary

This 2025 BMW 740i M Sport offers a sophisticated balance of executive presence and driver-focused performance, featuring a smooth inline-six engine and intelligent all-wheel drive. As a flagship sedan in the GCC market, its black exterior ensures high resale appeal and fits seamlessly into professional and luxury environments across the region. The M Sport trim adds a sharper aesthetic and dynamic handling characteristics that help it stand out against softer rivals in the segment. For a buyer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, this model represents the cutting edge of BMW's luxury tech without the higher running costs of the V8 variants.

This Car vs Other 2025 740is

With this being a 2025 model, any listing currently available in the GCC used market is effectively in brand-new or near-delivery condition. While average luxury sedans in the region cover 20,000 km annually, finding a current-year 740i provides a significant advantage in remaining factory warranty and service inclusive packages. The Black exterior is a perennially strong choice for the 7 Series, ensuring it remains highly liquid in the secondary market.

M Sport vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim upgrades the 740i with an aerodynamic body kit, Shadowline exterior trim, and larger 20-inch M-specific wheels that command more presence on the road. Inside, it replaces the standard steering wheel with an M leather version and often includes the illuminated M door sills and stainless steel pedals. These sporting touches are highly sought after by GCC buyers and typically help the car retain its value better than the base Excellence trim.

740i vs Segment Rivals

The 740i competes directly with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Audi A8, leading the group in driver engagement and digital cabin integration. While the S-Class focuses on isolated comfort, the BMW provides a more connected steering feel and the innovative Curved Display which is particularly impressive during night drives between emirates. Its inline-six engine is widely regarded as more refined and smoother under acceleration than the V6 units found in several competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this mild-hybrid powertrain averages approximately 8.5 L/100km, making it surprisingly efficient for long-distance cruising on the E11 or E311 highways. BMW’s authorized service network is extensive across the GCC, with major hubs like AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors in the UAE, and Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors in KSA providing expert care. The 7 Series traditionally retains about 70% of its value over three years in the local market, benefiting from the region's strong demand for German luxury flagships.

Performance & Capability

Propelled by 375 hp, the 740i reaches 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, offering effortless overtaking power for high-speed highway traffic. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system provides superior stability during occasional heavy rain or on sandy road shoulders, ensuring traction is never compromised. Standard adaptive air suspension automatically adjusts to the road surface, delivering a magic-carpet ride that handles the transition from smooth city asphalt to coarser rural roads with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary designed for the GCC climate, featuring four-zone automatic climate control and high-performance insulation that keeps the interior cool even in peak summer. This trim includes the BMW Curved Display as the focal point, alongside luxury seating that offers exceptional support for long journeys across borders. Rear passengers enjoy generous legroom and the standard panoramic glass roof, which creates an airy, expansive feel throughout the five-seat layout.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive ADAS suite including Active Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning, all essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The 360-degree camera and Parking Assistant Professional make maneuvering this large sedan into tight mall parking spaces effortless. Additionally, the 740i features a robust array of dual-stage airbags and electronic stability systems specifically tuned to maintain composure at highway speeds.

The bottom line

This 2025 740i M Sport is the ideal choice for an executive or enthusiast seeking the latest German flagship technology with the most desirable regional specifications and color combination.
