Summary

This 1-year-old BMW X5 represents the peak of modern SAV utility, offering a hybrid-boosted powertrain that balances performance with local efficiency. Its Grey exterior is a high-demand choice in the GCC, ensuring strong resale value and heat management compared to darker shades. As an M Sport Pro trim, it bridges the gap between executive luxury and M-level aggression, making it a standout choice for those who want a more focused driving character. The mileage is exceptionally low for a GCC-based vehicle of this age, effectively offering a near-new ownership experience. For a buyer looking to avoid the initial depreciation of a showroom purchase while retaining the latest BMW Curved Display tech, this is an ideal opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2025 X5s

At 39,900 km, this vehicle's usage is well below the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, marking it as a carefully maintained example. The Grey finish is one of the most resilient colors for the region's dusty conditions and remains a top-tier performer for used market value retention. Compared to standard xDrive40i models, the M Sport Pro configuration is rarer and more sought after by enthusiasts.

XDRIVE40i M SPORT PRO vs Lower Trims

The M Sport Pro trim elevates the X5 with the Extended Shadowline trim, featuring a blacked-out kidney grille and M Shadowline lights for a more sinister aesthetic. It adds a standard M Sport Exhaust system for a more vocal engine note and upgraded M Sport brakes with high-gloss red calipers. Inside, you benefit from the premium Harman Kardon audio system and M seat belts, features often relegated to the options list on lower trims.

X5 vs Segment Rivals

The X5 leads rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and Audi Q7 in driving engagement, largely thanks to its rear-biased xDrive system and inline-six engine balance. Its 83-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long-distance travel between Emirates compared to many electrified competitors. The BMW iDrive 8.5 interface is widely considered the most intuitive and responsive infotainment platform in the luxury SUV segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The mild-hybrid system optimizes fuel use in stop-start traffic across Dubai and Riyadh, achieving a respectable 8.5 L/100km on the WLTP cycle. Service intervals are typically every 12,000 km or 12 months, supported by an extensive network of BMW authorized centers including AGMC, Abu Dhabi Motors, and Al Naghi. As a GCC-spec model, it maintains a significant value premium over American or European imports, with the X5 traditionally holding roughly 55-60% of its value after three years in the local market.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the 340 hp 3.0L TwinPower Turbo engine, this X5 sprints to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system provides composed handling during unexpected rain or on loose gravel surfaces near desert outskirts. With a top speed of 250 km/h and multiple drive modes, it transitions seamlessly from a comfortable city cruiser to a high-speed grand tourer.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin centers around the massive BMW Curved Display, providing a high-tech environment that remains cool thanks to a GCC-optimized multi-zone climate control system. While seating five in premium comfort, the interior features acoustic glazing to isolate the cabin from external heat and road noise. The boot offers a versatile 650 litres of space, accommodating everything from golf bags to family staycation luggage with ease.

Safety

This X5 comes equipped with BMW's full suite of active safety technologies, including Active Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning, which are essential for navigating multi-lane GCC highways. The standard 360-degree camera system and Parking Assistant Plus take the stress out of maneuvering in tight urban parking structures. Standard features like Frontal Collision Warning and high-performance M Sport brakes provide an additional layer of security during high-speed travel.

The bottom line

For the GCC professional who demands a sharp-looking SUV that doesn't compromise on tech or efficiency, this low-mileage M Sport Pro is the sharpest choice in the current market.
