Summary

This 2025 xDrive40i M Sport presents a compelling case for the luxury SUV buyer, offering significant savings over a showroom-fresh model while retaining its nearly-new status at just 1 years old. The M Sport trim remains a high-demand specification in the GCC, particularly in this versatile grey, ensuring it stands out as a strong resale asset in the future. As a dedicated seven-seater with BMW's intelligent all-wheel-drive system, it bridges the gap between executive transport and a robust family road-tripper. Its low mileage relative to the high-usage GCC market makes it a primary choice for those seeking reliability without the long wait times of a factory order. For ownership in the Emirates, the standard air suspension and advanced climate management make it one of the few vehicles that truly masters the summer heat while maintaining composed highway manners.

This Car vs Other 2025 X7s

With just 16,429 km on the odometer, this X7 has seen significantly less use than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for GCC luxury vehicles. Its exterior grey finish is a high-liquidity color in the regional used market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than more niche shades. The 1 years of age means it benefits from the latest iDrive 8.5 software updates and remaining factory peace of mind common for this model year.

XDRIVE40I M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim upgrades the standard X7 with an aerodynamic body kit, M-specific wheels, and high-gloss Shadowline trim that significantly enhances its road presence. Inside, it adds the M leather steering wheel and offers a more focused tech suite including the Head-up display and Live Cockpit Professional as standard. These features are highly prized by UAE buyers and represent the most sought-after configuration in the pre-owned segment.

X7 vs Segment Rivals

The X7 leads competitors like the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Lexus LX 600 in terms of pure driving engagement and cabin technology, utilizing a curved digital display that is more responsive than the Lexus interface. While the Cadillac Escalade offers more total volume, the BMW’s straight-six mild-hybrid powertrain provides superior fuel efficiency and smoother stop-start performance in city traffic. Its standard self-leveling air suspension also delivers a more composed ride on high-speed desert highways than body-on-frame alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.0L inline-six averages between 9.6 and 10.6 L/100km, which is highly efficient for a vehicle of this size, particularly during long-distance inter-city drives. BMW’s authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and expert maintenance are always accessible. This model generally sees a depreciation rate of 12-15% annually in the GCC, though the M Sport trim helps it maintain a higher percentage of its value at the three-year mark compared to base models.

Performance & Capability

Despite its grand proportions, this SUV reaches 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11. The 3.0L turbocharged engine is assisted by a 48V mild-hybrid system, smoothing out gear changes and providing immediate torque for city driving. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system and 221 mm ground clearance provide confident stability on gravel tracks and light sand, making it a capable partner for weekend excursions outside the city.

Comfort & Cabin

The three-row cabin is designed for seven passengers, featuring a panoramic moonroof that extends across all rows to keep the interior feeling bright. GCC-specific comfort is handled by a sophisticated four-zone climate control system and high-quality Sensafin upholstery that remains cool in extreme temperatures. Even with the third row occupied, there is 326 litres of cargo space, which expands to a massive 2,120 litres for heavy-duty hauling.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes the Active Driving Assistant suite, featuring Frontal Collision Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Departure Warning—all critical for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The 360-degree camera system makes parking this large SUV simple in tight urban spaces, while adaptive LED headlights provide excellent visibility during night drives through unlit desert roads.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer looking for a current-gen, low-mileage luxury flagship that is already prepared for the GCC climate and ready for immediate delivery.
