Summary

This 2025 BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport offers a sophisticated entry into the full-size luxury SUV segment, combining a powerful 381 hp inline-six engine with a highly desirable Grey exterior that maintains strong resale appeal in the UAE market. With 26,000 km, this vehicle is well within the typical annual mileage expected for a highway-heavy GCC commuter, positioning it as a fresh and mechanically sound opportunity. The X7 stands out for its unique blend of dynamic handling and genuine three-row seating, ensuring a level of driver engagement that is often missing from its larger American rivals. For a GCC buyer, the powerful BMW air conditioning and advanced digital cockpit make it a premier choice for navigating both cross-emirate highway runs and dense metropolitan traffic.

This Car vs Other 2025 X7s

With 26,000 km, this X7 is consistent with the higher-than-average annual mileage typical of GCC-based vehicles used for inter-city travel. The Grey exterior is a highly liquid choice in the local market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention compared to non-standard shades. Choosing a GCC-spec model over imports ensures that the vehicle’s cooling systems and software are optimized for the regional climate and that the manufacturer warranty remains fully valid.

xDrive40i M Sport vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim is the most sought-after configuration for the xDrive40i, adding a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit, larger M-design wheels, and the M Sport steering wheel which are key value-drivers in the secondary market. Unlike base models, this trim often features the Shadowline exterior trim and enhanced suspension tuning that provides a significantly more planted feel on the fast highways of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

X7 vs Segment Rivals

The BMW X7 leads the Mercedes-Benz GLS in driver-centric technology, featuring a massive 14.9-inch curved infotainment display that is faster and more intuitive for navigation. Compared to the Cadillac Escalade, the X7 offers a much more maneuverable footprint for city parking while maintaining a sophisticated air suspension system that outperforms rivals in high-speed stability. Its 83-litre tank is perfectly sized for long-distance desert highway cruising between major GCC hubs.

Running Costs & Resale

The xDrive40i’s 48V mild-hybrid system improves efficiency during stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh, with a combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.7 L/100km. BMW’s Condition Based Service (CBS) typically prompts maintenance every 10,000 to 12,000 km, supported by an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and wider GCC. As a premium European SUV, it follows a standard depreciation curve of 12-15% annually, though the M Sport package typically softens this impact by attracting more buyers at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0L turbocharged engine delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on high-speed arterial roads. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system and self-leveling air suspension provide exceptional stability during heavy summer crosswinds and varied terrain. With a top speed electronically capped at 250 km/h, it offers the cruising composure required for long-distance family trips across borders.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for luxury family travel, the cabin features three rows of seating with dedicated four-zone climate control to ensure rear passengers stay cool in extreme summer heat. The standard panoramic sunroof and acoustic glass provide a serene, insulated environment, shielding occupants from both external noise and high temperatures. Premium tech includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, making it a true mobile sanctuary for long GCC commutes.

Safety

This X7 is equipped with a full ADAS suite, including Active Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning, which are essential for navigating multi-lane highway traffic. The standard 360° camera and Parking Assistant Professional simplify maneuvering this large SUV in tight urban spaces. BMW’s sophisticated stability control and multiple airbags provide peace of mind for families frequenting high-speed desert routes.

The bottom line

This M Sport-equipped X7 is the ideal choice for a luxury-seeking family that values driver engagement and regional reliability, offering a nearly-new experience with the most desirable GCC-market specifications.
