Summary

This 2025 Chevrolet Malibu LS offers a compelling opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, fuel-efficient sedan with very low mileage for the UAE market. At just one year old and with only 15,000 km, it sits well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the region, promising plenty of life for cross-emirate commutes. The Summit White exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the GCC, providing a significant advantage when it comes time to upgrade. As the final production year for this nameplate, it represents the most refined version of a proven platform. Its combination of a turbocharged 1.5L engine and a spacious five-seat cabin makes it a versatile choice for both city efficiency and long-distance highway comfort.

This Car vs Other 2025 Malibus

With only 15,000 km on the odometer, this Malibu is in the top tier for low-mileage listings in the GCC market, where most one-year-old sedans have already crossed the 20,000 km mark. The American regional spec often includes high-value tech features as standard that are sometimes optional on other versions, making this a high-value entry point. The white exterior is the optimal choice for the local climate, reflecting heat more effectively than darker tones and maintaining the highest residual value across the UAE.

LS vs Lower Trims

As the foundational LS trim, this car prioritizes efficiency and essential technology without the unnecessary cost of purely cosmetic upgrades. It features standard 16-inch aluminum wheels and an acoustic-laminated windshield, which provides a significantly quieter cabin experience compared to older base-model sedans. Crucially for GCC drivers, it maintains the same 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto found in the higher trims, ensuring modern connectivity is standard.

Malibu vs Segment Rivals

The Malibu competes directly with the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima, leading the segment with a highly competitive 60-liter fuel tank that provides a theoretical highway range of over 750 km. While rivals often rely on larger naturally aspirated engines, the Malibu's 1.5L Turbo delivers punchier low-end torque, which is particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. Its standard safety suite, including 10 airbags, offers a higher count of protective features than many entry-level rivals in this class.

Running Costs & Resale

The turbocharged 1.5L engine is optimized for efficiency, achieving a combined fuel consumption of roughly 7.7 L/100km, which helps mitigate costs during heavy city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and Chevrolet’s extensive authorized service network ensures parts are readily available across all GCC countries. While American spec cars may have different warranty considerations, the high parts commonality with local models makes maintenance straightforward and affordable.

Performance & Capability

Generating 163 hp and 249 Nm of torque, the turbocharged engine provides responsive acceleration that feels more capable than its displacement suggests. The CVT transmission is tuned for smoothness, maintaining low RPMs at highway speeds for a relaxed cruising experience between emirates. With a top speed of 210 km/h and a balanced suspension setup, it remains stable and composed even during long-distance desert highway drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, offering 41.5 inches of front legroom and a spacious rear seat that comfortably accommodates three adults. The acoustic-laminated windshield is a vital feature for the GCC, significantly reducing the roar of wind and road noise during high-speed travel. Additionally, the 445-liter boot capacity provides ample space for airport runs or weekly family shopping trips, making it a practical daily workhorse.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for this model year, featuring a standard suite of 10 airbags that provides comprehensive protection for all occupants. The LS trim includes key driver-assist technologies such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking, which are invaluable for navigating busy multi-lane highways. StabiliTrak electronic stability control comes standard, ensuring the car remains planted during sudden maneuvers or on sandy road surfaces.

The bottom line

This low-mileage 2025 Malibu LS is the perfect choice for a savvy commuter who wants a near-new car experience and high fuel efficiency without paying new-car prices.
