Infiniti QX80 AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS 3.5

Highlights

• 450 hp from a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6
• 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio standard
• Four seats with second-row captain chairs

Summary

This 2025 model represents the complete redesign of Infiniti's flagship, featuring a sophisticated twin-turbo V6 that offers significantly more torque than the outgoing V8 for better highway overtaking. As the top-tier Autograph trim with exceptionally low mileage, it offers a rare four-seat layout that prioritizes executive-level rear passenger space and comfort. The black exterior is the most preferred resale color in the GCC, ensuring strong value retention for the next owner. Designed to master long-distance desert highway hauls, it provides a level of cabin isolation and technology that sets a new benchmark for the segment. This is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the latest in Japanese luxury without the wait for a new order.

This Car vs Other 2025 QX80s

With just 1,056 km, this QX80 is effectively a showroom-fresh vehicle, offering a significant mileage advantage over the 20,000 km typical for its first year in the GCC. The black-on-black configuration is a high-demand combination in the local market, traditionally leading to faster resale and higher price floors compared to lighter or more niche colors.

AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS vs Lower Trims

The Autograph trim transforms the QX80 into a true executive lounge, adding an exclusive 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system and quilted semi-aniline leather that lower trims like the Sensory lack. Most importantly, this trim features specialized second-row massaging seats and a dedicated rear-seat touchscreen console, offering a level of passenger luxury that is unavailable in the standard seven or eight-seat configurations.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The QX80 leads rivals like the Lexus LX600 and Cadillac Escalade with its segment-exclusive biometric cooling system, which uses infrared sensors to detect passenger temperature and adjust air conditioning automatically—a vital feature for the GCC summer. Its 8,500-pound towing capacity and vast interior volume provide more practical utility for large families compared to European rivals like the BMW X7.

Running Costs & Resale

The new 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 is designed for improved efficiency during highway cruising between emirates, requiring premium unleaded fuel to maintain its 450 hp output. Infiniti maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. As a GCC-spec vehicle in the flagship trim, it is expected to follow a stable depreciation curve of approximately 10-12% annually, outperforming many European luxury SUVs in the local market.

Performance & Capability

Generating a massive 700 Nm of torque, this powertrain provides effortless acceleration and a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 6.5 seconds, making it remarkably agile for a full-size SUV. The Autograph comes standard with Dynamic Digital Suspension and electronic air springs, which automatically lower the vehicle at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics and stability during cross-border drives. Multiple drive modes allow the driver to tailor the throttle and steering response for city traffic or sand-covered coastal roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat Autograph configuration provides an unrivaled sense of space, featuring second-row captain chairs with heating, cooling, and professional-grade massage functions. The cabin is equipped with a massive 14.3-inch Monolith display and a front-console cooling compartment to keep beverages chilled during peak summer heat. Extensive acoustic glass and enhanced insulation ensure the interior remains a quiet sanctuary, even when traveling at high highway speeds across the desert.

Safety

This flagship trim includes the full ProPILOT Assist 2.1 suite, offering hands-off highway driving capabilities and sophisticated adaptive cruise control for long-distance safety. Standard features include a 3D Around View Monitor with 'Invisible Hood' technology to navigate tight parking spaces in Dubai, alongside blind-spot intervention and forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The 2025 redesign also incorporates an advanced cabin camera system, allowing the driver to monitor rear passengers through the primary infotainment screen.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own the ultimate expression of the all-new QX80 in its most exclusive four-seat configuration, offering a nearly-new experience with the strongest possible GCC resale credentials.
