Summary

This 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE represents the high-performance evolution of the Super SUV, combining a twin-turbo V8 with an advanced plug-in hybrid system. Its black-on-black aesthetic is a perennial favorite in the GCC, ensuring strong resale demand across the region's secondary markets. As the first PHEV in the lineup, it offers the unique ability to navigate city traffic in near-silence before unleashing nearly 800 hp on the open highway. For the local buyer, this model balances exotic presence with the practical everyday cooling and ground clearance required for Gulf conditions. With its low mileage and current-generation technology, it stands as one of the most capable and relevant luxury investments available today.

This Car vs Other 2025 Urus SEs

With 25,000 km, this Urus SE has seen slightly higher than average use for its first year, reflecting the typical long-distance highway commutes common between GCC cities. However, the European specification ensures a high level of interior material finishing, and its black exterior remains the most sought-after and stable color for value retention in the UAE and Saudi markets. While many 2025 models are kept as garage queens, this example is mechanically settled and ready for immediate, high-speed regional travel.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim introduces a massive leap in performance over the standard Urus S, adding 143 hp via its integrated electric motor and a larger 12.3-inch central touchscreen with hybrid-specific HMI graphics. Crucially for GCC buyers, the SE features a re-engineered aerodynamic package that increases rear downforce by 35%, improving high-speed stability on wind-swept desert highways. It also adds a dedicated 'EV Drive' mode for silent, fuel-free urban maneuvering that the combustion-only trims cannot match.

Urus vs Segment Rivals

The Urus SE leads its closest hybrid rival, the BMW XM, by a significant 143 hp, while offering a more exotic supercar pedigree that the Ferrari Purosangue lacks in terms of five-passenger utility. For long-distance GCC driving, the Urus SE's air suspension provides a broader range of comfort than the Aston Martin DBX707, especially when transitioning from smooth asphalt to light gravel tracks. Its hybrid torque filling also provides sharper low-end response than the purely mechanical V12 alternatives in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is significantly improved in GCC stop-start traffic thanks to the hybrid system, which can achieve a combined 2.08 L/100km under optimal battery usage (WLTP). Lamborghini’s authorized service network is well-established in major hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, with standard service intervals every 15,000 km or annually. As a European-spec vehicle, buyers should ensure a GCC region-upgrade for the navigation and radio, though the core V8 architecture remains highly serviceable across the region. The Urus SE currently enjoys a very low depreciation curve due to high global demand and limited local allocations.

Performance & Capability

The headline 800 hp output allows for a blistering 0-100 km/h time of 3.4 seconds, making it one of the fastest production SUVs in the world. The new 'hang-on' longitudinal torque vectoring system ensures maximum traction during sudden overtaking maneuvers on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The adaptive air suspension can adjust ground clearance from 158 mm to 248 mm, allowing it to handle both track-focused driving at Dubai Autodrome and light weekend desert excursions with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the SE-specific dashboard features enhanced digital displays and a new dashboard cover that feels more aligned with the Revuelto supercar. The cabin is designed for the Gulf climate with high-output ventilation and multi-zone climate control that remains efficient even when the engine is off in EV mode. Acoustic glass and premium leather upholstery ensure a refined environment, insulating passengers from the extreme summer heat and exterior road noise during cross-country drives.

Safety

The 2025 Urus SE comes standard with an advanced ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go functionality, which is essential for long desert highway stretches. It also features a 360-degree 3D camera system and a new radar setup that provides faster feedback for Blind Spot Monitoring, a critical feature for the fast-paced traffic of the E11 or Sheikh Zayed Road. The high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes ensure consistent stopping power even under the high thermal loads typical of regional driving.

The bottom line

This 2025 Urus SE is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the highest-output Lamborghini SUV available without the waitlist, presented in a timeless colorway that guarantees future market appeal.
