Summary

This 2025 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG represents the latest evolution of a global automotive icon, now featuring mild-hybrid assistance for smoother low-end power. As a GCC-spec vehicle in a high-demand black-on-black configuration, it sits in the most resilient tier for resale value across the UAE and broader region. While its mileage reflects frequent highway use common for active owners, its ladder-frame construction and handcrafted powertrain are engineered for long-term durability in extreme climates. This G63 remains the definitive choice for those seeking a vehicle that commands respect in city traffic while offering genuine off-road hardware for desert weekends.

This Car vs Other 2025 G63 AMGs

With 47,000 km, this G63 has seen active use compared to lower-mileage examples, yet this typically indicates a vehicle that has spent its time on well-maintained GCC highways rather than sitting in city congestion. In the local market, a black exterior is the primary driver of demand, often commanding a faster sale and better value retention than more niche colors. For a 2025 model year, this vehicle benefits from the most recent technological updates while offering a significant entry-point advantage over delivery-mileage units.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

Moving to the G63 from the G550 adds the handcrafted V8 engine, which is a significant upgrade in both performance and long-term collectibility. This trim includes the AMG-specific Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission, designed to handle the massive 850 Nm of torque. Inside, Nappa leather and the MBUX high-resolution display come standard, alongside the specialized AMG Off-Road Cockpit which provides real-time telemetry for desert driving.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands apart from road-biased rivals like the Lamborghini Urus and BMW X7 by retaining a traditional ladder-frame chassis and three independent locking differentials. While rivals may lead in pure track dynamics, the G-Class offers a 100-liter fuel tank that is essential for long-distance cross-border travel within the GCC. Its upright design also provides superior visibility and ground clearance compared to the lower-slung luxury SUVs in its class.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically hovers around 15–18 L/100km in GCC conditions, though the new 48-volt mild-hybrid system helps reduce consumption during city idling. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, and the extensive Mercedes-Benz authorized network ensures easy maintenance across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. The G-Class historically holds the highest resale value in the luxury SUV segment, often retaining over 55% of its value after five years.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp V8 biturbo engine allows this 2.6-ton SUV to reach a top speed of 220 km/h, delivering effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. Its off-road capability is unrivaled in the luxury sector, featuring a low-range transfer case and 241 mm of ground clearance for navigating deep sand or rocky terrain. The 2025 updates to the adaptive suspension significantly improve on-road comfort, making it a viable daily driver even in heavy traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is insulated with heat and noise-insulating glass, a vital feature for maintaining cooling efficiency during peak GCC summers. Standard equipment includes three-zone automatic climate control and heated seats, while the Burmester 3D Surround Sound system provides a premium audio experience for long drives. Despite its rugged exterior, the interior is finished in high-grade Nappa leather with 64-color ambient lighting to suit any driving mood.

Safety

The 2025 G63 features a comprehensive suite of active safety systems including Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Adaptive Cruise Control. These systems are particularly valuable for high-speed highway commuting, providing an extra layer of protection against fast-moving traffic. The vehicle's heavy-duty construction is supplemented by multiple airbags and advanced stability control systems tuned specifically for both sand and tarmac.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 2025 G63 is the ideal opportunity for a buyer who wants the latest mechanical updates and the most prestigious color combination without the long waiting lists for new units.
