Summary

This 2025 MG GT Comfort offers a near-new ownership experience with just 2,000 km on the clock, placing it well below the typical mileage for a one-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the region, ensuring strong resale liquidity when it is time to upgrade. As a Comfort trim, it balances the efficiency of the naturally aspirated 1.5L engine with a significant tech jump over the base model, making it a savvy choice for the daily commuter. Its shark-inspired styling helps it stand out against more conservative rivals, offering a sporty aesthetic without the high running costs of a performance sedan. For any buyer in the Emirates, the combination of a valid local warranty and low fuel consumption makes this a low-risk, high-value entry into the 2025 model year.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG GTs

With only 2,000 km recorded since new, this vehicle has covered significantly less distance than the 20,000 km to 25,000 km typically expected for a car of its age in the UAE. This extremely low mileage translates to minimal wear on the mechanical components and interior surfaces, effectively offering a showroom-fresh feel. The black paintwork is one of the most sought-after colors in the local used market, which typically helps maintain a firmer resale price compared to more niche shades.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort (COM) trim provides a substantial equipment upgrade over the base STD variant, most notably adding a 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen and a rear-view camera which are essential for navigating tight city parking. It also introduces cruise control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, features that greatly enhance comfort during long highway stretches between emirates. Buyers also benefit from upgraded 16-inch alloy wheels and keyless entry with push-button start, elevating the overall feel of the car.

MG GT vs Segment Rivals

The MG GT competes directly with established names like the Toyota Yaris and Nissan Sunny, leading the segment with its aggressive fastback design and fighter-jet-inspired cockpit layout. While rivals often prioritize a traditional sedan shape, the MG offers a more modern aesthetic and a larger standard infotainment screen than many entry-level competitors. Its 50-litre fuel tank is well-sized for the segment, ensuring fewer stops on long-distance drives across the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

The naturally aspirated 1.5L engine is optimized for efficiency, achieving an impressive official fuel economy of 5.7 L/100km, which is ideal for GCC stop-start traffic and long commutes. Service intervals are typically set at every 10,000 km or 6 months, and with MG's growing authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintenance is both accessible and affordable. As a GCC-spec 2025 model, it holds its value better than imported regional specs and benefits from the remainder of the manufacturer’s 6-year/200,000 km warranty.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L four-cylinder engine delivers 100 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission that prioritizes fuel saving and city drivability. While not a track car, it handles highway overtaking with predictable poise and maintains a stable, planted feel at cruising speeds. The front-wheel-drive setup is perfectly suited for the well-maintained road networks of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, providing a comfortable and reliable ride.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed with a driver-centric 'fighter-jet' theme, featuring turbine-style air vents that provide excellent airflow, a critical factor during the peak GCC summer months. The five-seat layout offers decent legroom for the segment, and the 401-litre boot provides ample space for grocery runs or weekend luggage. High-quality fabric seats and dedicated rear cooling vents ensure that all passengers remain comfortable even during long journeys across the desert.

Safety

Safety is well-covered with a suite of standard features including dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), and Emergency Brake Assist to help maintain control during sudden maneuvers. The inclusion of rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera significantly reduces the risk of low-speed collisions in busy areas. Additionally, the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is a vital safety tool for GCC drivers, alerting you to pressure changes caused by extreme road surface temperatures.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a professional or small family looking for a 2025 model year sedan with 'delivery mileage' at a pre-owned price point. Its exceptional fuel economy and valid local warranty make it one of the most sensible and stylish daily drivers currently available in the GCC market.
