Summary

This 2025 Nissan Patrol represents the latest Y63 generation, offering a sophisticated leap in technology while maintaining the naturally aspirated 3.8L engine preferred for its linear power delivery. Finished in professional Grey, this GCC-spec SE Platinum City trim is the highest tier for the V6 range, combining legendary off-road hardware with modern luxury like biometric cooling. With 75,000 km, it has already handled the initial depreciation of a new release while remaining within its mechanical prime for the region's climate. The Patrol remains a dominant force on UAE roads, balancing daily family logistics with the capability to cross emirates in total comfort. For any buyer prioritizing a blend of modern interior tech and long-term mechanical simplicity, this is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2025 Nissan Patrols

At 75,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is higher than the typical first-year average of 25,000 km in the GCC, reflecting active highway use rather than city idling. This usage suggests the vehicle has been regularly maintained to meet the demands of frequent long-distance travel across the emirates. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, offering better heat management than black while maintaining a stronger resale profile than niche colors.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City trim adds significant luxury over the SE Titanium, most notably genuine quilted leather upholstery and massaging front seats with 4-way lumbar support. It also introduces the high-tech Biometric Cooling system, which uses infrared sensors to adjust airflow based on passenger body temperature—a critical feature for GCC summers. Tech upgrades include a large Head-Up Display and the 3D Around View Monitor with 'Invisible Hood View' for precise off-road maneuvering.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in interior screen real estate and cabin width, providing a more spacious feel for eight passengers. Its naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 offers a smoother, more predictable power delivery compared to the turbocharged units found in modern competitors, which many local owners prefer for long-term desert reliability. The inclusion of a 97-litre fuel tank ensures superior cruising range for cross-border trips compared to smaller-capacity SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.8L V6 typically averages around 10.5 L/100km on GCC highways, though this increases in stop-start city traffic. As a GCC-spec Nissan, it benefits from the most extensive authorized service network in the region, with parts readily available in every major city from Dubai to Riyadh. The Patrol consistently demonstrates some of the highest value retention in the UAE market, typically losing only 8-10% annually, significantly outperforming European luxury SUV rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 3.8L engine produces 316 hp and 386 Nm of torque, paired with a new 9-speed automatic transmission that optimizes fuel efficiency and highway overtaking. With 244 mm of ground clearance and a selectable 4WD system featuring Sand, Mud, and Rock modes, it is purpose-built for weekend expeditions into the dunes. The drivetrain includes a rear differential lock as standard, ensuring maximum traction when navigating soft sand or rocky wadi terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a massive dual 14.3-inch monolith display that integrates navigation and entertainment with Google built-in. Passengers benefit from a premium 12-speaker Klipsch audio system and a panoramic sunroof that enhances the sense of space across all three rows. Tri-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures every passenger remains cool during peak summer, while the power-folding third row makes switching between 8-seat capacity and massive cargo space effortless.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive ADAS suite including Nissan ProPILOT with Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control for relaxed highway driving. Safety is further bolstered by Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, and a full array of airbags including a driver’s knee airbag. The 3D Around View Monitor is particularly useful in tight urban parking, providing a virtual bird's-eye view of the vehicle's surroundings.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a GCC family or executive who wants the latest Y63 technology and top-tier luxury without the complexity of a twin-turbo engine. It offers a turn-key solution for those who demand the prestige of a Platinum City Patrol with the proven durability of Nissan’s naturally aspirated V6.
