Summary

This 2025 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City offers a compelling opportunity to own the latest Y63 generation with a balance of modern luxury and reliable V6 power. The silver exterior is a top performer for resale in the GCC market, and the mileage is notably lower than the typical 25,000 km annual average for large SUVs in this region. As the range-topping trim for the 3.8L engine, it bridges the gap between everyday practicality and executive-level comfort without the complexity of turbocharging. For a buyer in the Emirates or Saudi Arabia, this model stands out for its legendary durability and a massive fuel tank designed for cross-country desert highway drives. It is a highly sensible acquisition for those who prioritize long-term value and the peace of mind offered by Nissan's extensive regional service network.

This Car vs Other 2025 Nissan Patrols

With just over 43,600 km, this vehicle has been driven slightly less than the typical high-mileage standard for family SUVs in the Gulf, where long-distance commuting is the norm. The silver paintwork is one of the most practical choices for the region, effectively hiding dust while commanding the highest possible resale value. This specific unit represents the naturally aspirated 3.8L option, which many local buyers prefer for its long-term mechanical simplicity compared to the twin-turbocharged variants.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

Choosing the SE Platinum City over the SE Titanium or T2 adds significant luxury upgrades including burgundy quilted leather and front seats with both ventilation and a massage function. The tech suite is significantly enhanced with a head-up display and dual 12.8-inch rear entertainment screens that are essential for long family trips. Additionally, it features Biometric Cooling, which uses sensors to detect occupant temperature and adjust the air conditioning automatically for maximum comfort in the summer heat.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol remains the primary rival to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, where it leads with a larger 140-litre fuel tank that offers superior range for long desert expeditions. Compared to the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Patrol offers a more sophisticated multi-mode terrain system and a heritage of durability that is virtually unmatched in the GCC. The inclusion of a dedicated refrigerator (cool box) and superior cabin cooling makes it better suited for the extreme temperatures of Riyadh and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.8L V6 averages around 10.3 L/100km, which is highly competitive for a full-size SUV in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and Nissan's authorized service centers are available in every major city across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The Patrol consistently sits at the top of the market for value retention, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than its European luxury counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The 3.8L V6 delivers a reliable 316 horsepower and 386 Nm of torque, providing smooth power delivery through a 9-speed automatic transmission. With a ground clearance of 253 mm, it is perfectly equipped for weekend dune drives and handles high-speed highway overtaking with confidence. The selectable drive modes, including Sand and Rock, allow you to tailor the traction control and throttle response to suit specific GCC terrains.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of refined materials, featuring the signature burgundy genuine quilted leather and 64-color ambient lighting. The tri-zone climate control is paired with rear vents and an ionizer to ensure every passenger stays cool and comfortable during the peak of summer. The Monolith digital cockpit and premium Klipsch audio system provide a modern, high-tech environment for both the driver and the executive passengers in the rear.

Safety

This trim comes standard with a full ADAS suite, including Nissan's ProPILOT system which features adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist for easier long-distance driving. Safety is further bolstered by a 360-degree camera with a 3D Around View Monitor, blind-spot warning, and predictive forward collision warning. These systems are particularly beneficial on fast-moving, multi-lane highways where visibility and reaction time are critical.

The bottom line

This is an ideal choice for a GCC buyer seeking the latest Patrol generation's prestige and technology without the higher maintenance of a turbo engine. Its combination of the top-tier Platinum City luxury and a high-resale color makes it one of the safest financial decisions in the current used SUV market.
