Smart #3 PREMIUM 2.0

Highlights

• 455 km electric range (WLTP)
• 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds
• 150 kW peak DC charging

Summary

This 2025 Smart #3 Premium is a standout choice for those seeking a modern, high-tech electric crossover with very low mileage for its age. As a one-year-old vehicle with approximately 44,000 km, it has been driven slightly above the GCC annual average but remains in excellent mechanical standing for the local market. The Premium trim is highly desirable in the region, offering a significant equipment jump that luxury-focused buyers prioritize. Finished in a sophisticated Beige—a strong resale color that handles the desert sun better than darker tones—this GCC-spec model is perfectly suited for the UAE's fast-paced highway commutes and extreme summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2025 Smart #3s

With 43,938 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits slightly above the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the UAE, yet it reflects the high-utilization highway lifestyle common in the GCC. The Beige exterior is a pragmatic and stylish choice for the region, offering better heat rejection and maintaining a higher resale profile than experimental colors. As a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest software and battery management optimizations available for the #3 platform.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim adds essential luxury features that the Pro and Pro+ lines lack, most notably the 13-speaker Beats surround sound system and a high-efficiency heat pump for better climate control. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the inclusion of a 10-inch Head-Up Display and the upgraded Duo-leather ventilated seats, which provide a significant comfort advantage during the peak summer months. It also features an upgraded 22 kW AC onboard charger, allowing for much faster home charging than the standard 7.4 kW units found in base trims.

Smart #3 vs Segment Rivals

The Smart #3 competes directly with the Volvo EX30 and the Zeekr X, leading the group with its sleeker coupe-SUV silhouette and superior aerodynamic efficiency (Cd 0.27). While rivals offer similar platforms, the Smart #3 Premium balances a 455 km WLTP range with a more spacious rear cabin, making it more practical for small families in the UAE. Its Mercedes-Benz-led interior design gives it a more premium cabin feel than the more minimalist Tesla Model Y.

Running Costs & Resale

Electric running costs in the UAE are significantly lower than petrol alternatives, especially with a rated efficiency of 16.3 kWh/100km. The Smart #3 benefits from an extensive authorized service network via local distributors in the UAE and across the GCC, ensuring parts and expert technicians are readily available. As a Geely-Mercedes joint venture, it is expected to hold its value better than independent EV startups, with a projected depreciation rate of roughly 12-15% annually in the local market.

Performance & Capability

A 0–100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds ensures effortless overtaking on the E11 and E311 highways, powered by a 272 hp rear-mounted electric motor. The 150 kW DC fast-charging capability allows you to top up from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes at compatible public chargers, making long drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai seamless. Despite its sporty stance, the Four Wheel Drive system and 160 mm ground clearance provide confident stability on gravel access roads and through heavy seasonal rain.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a 12.8-inch touch display and a massive panoramic Halo roof that creates an airy, spacious feel despite the coupe-like exterior. For the GCC climate, the Premium trim's high-performance air conditioning and ventilated leather seats are game-changers, while the 64-color ambient lighting adds a sophisticated evening atmosphere. Acoustic glass and premium cabin insulation ensure a quiet, refined drive, even at high highway speeds.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes the full Smart Pilot Assist suite, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Detection—essential for the UAE's multi-lane highway traffic. A high-resolution 360-degree camera system and automatic parking assist make navigating tight urban parking spots in Dubai or Abu Dhabi stress-free. The vehicle is built on a high-strength EV-dedicated architecture and comes equipped with seven airbags as standard.

The bottom line

This Smart #3 Premium is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy professional or small family looking to transition to electric luxury without sacrificing performance or GCC-ready comfort. With its desirable Premium spec and heat-friendly beige finish, it represents a smart, future-proof investment in the UAE's evolving automotive landscape.
